noonesfool
I know Joel and Charlie both broke the 150 mark but both sat out the first half of their senior season rehabing football injuries. I already miss this. I am so glad that Greeneville will be wrestling at Small School in the future. This is long over due. It has been a long time since Memphis, right NOF? second and we should have won that one.
Cowboy Curtis
Those numbers are all impressive. I'm surprised that King has had nearly 200 matches already. I knew GHS has had some great wrestlers but didn't know that they were getting that kinda mat time. Going deep into tournaments helps I'm sure. Makes sense when you think about it. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
terabyte
I think this will be a great season for R1. Lots of great matchups this year with many of last seasons region placers returning. Any thoughts or predictions? Post 'em here. Good luck to all this season. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />

Cowboy Curtis
I was told from a very reliable source that the Fandetti Brawl will be held at the Freedom Hall Civic Center this year with up to five mats going. The change of venue will help to accommodate the expanding number of participants for this years tournament. The tournament will be held on 1/17/09. ZJones1
And you are right... unfortunately, all that matters is what happens at that last tournament. Nothing before then matters. I am definitely not trying to belittle anyone! I am very good friends with Brett and his famiy and would wish nothing more than for him to bring a third gold medal to the Usary household. I just think that he would have the best shot going 35 again. And I think he needs to be a stronger 35. As for Kole, I have watched him very carefully for years and he does have a very one-dimensional style. What is good about being one-dimensional is that he has close to perfected these few things he likes to work. (which payed off tremendously at the state tournament last year). But if coaches notice this, it can make it a lot easier to stop. His best bet is a lot of individual work and to have a second level arsenal in case that does happen. This is simply a little constructive criticism. I love seeing the region 1 boys do good. I hope all three of them can take home gold.... along with some others. I have to disagree with you about Kole. I have not only watched him for years, but also wrestled with him for a good chunk of that time as well. You are right about Kole having a preferred set of moves, but the kid really knows ALOT more than the moves he mainly works. If you really watch him wrestle a quality guy, as soon as his favorites dont work after one or two times, he will pull something unexpected out and get his takedown or reversal or what-have-you. And alot of the time Kole is just too dang strong and quick and his opponents cant see whats coming or even stop it for that matter. Its really been fun watching him and even brett get steadily better and work so hard to be where theyre at now. I think they are two of the most deserving (not to mention best shots) for a state title. I havent gotten a chance to see your boy in action that much, but if its like you say, then i believe he is very deserving of a state title as well. But def good luck to all those region one heavy hitters!

Cowboy Curtis
TD, I saw where Cody Myers was in the Super 32. Is he already a freshman? It looks like you guys will have a Myers in the lineup thru 2015. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
KingGreene
Well he is a freshman... but unfortunately, will not be wrestling at least his freshman year. As of now, he's done with the sport. So unless little Jacob gets tired of running around tournaments and making friends with the hospitality room workers /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> and decides to actually compete..... it looks like this might be the last year.
