AAAAHHHHHH YYYYEEEEESSSSSS !!!!!!! Never fear "Jumper9876" the "SWAMI" is here to answer everyone's Questions about the outcomes of Tuesday's district matchups !!! As to your question "Jumper9876" is not who will win, but by how many White County will win by. The "SWAMI" sees White County winning easily over Oakland with numerous Lady Warriorettes scoring. White County by 23. Warren County will head to the "BORO" again and will leave with similiar results. Siegel by 24. Riverdale will make the trip up to Lebanon and will have too much firepower for Elie and company to overcome. Riverdale by 13. And finally, in a game the ole "SWAMI" is struggling to read his crystal ball clearly, Blackman will go into Cookeville and will come up a little short. Cookeville by 4. The "SWAMI" has spoken and will look to improve on his remarkable (13-3) record. Read em and weep.

The Swami if fearless and certainly has an answer to many of the 7AAA questions. White County is waiting around for the next big game but Oakland likely will not be it. White has too much balance and plays too many players for the well coached Sparta girls team. Oakland is still a one note team with Randolph playing well and White will not shut her down but White will win by 28. Warren County will play well against Siegel and still may not rebound against a fired up Warren county team. Siegel has lost Burns for maybe the rest of the year with a dislocated shoulder and while Siegel has not depended on her for scoring, Siegel lost a buzz saw of a defensive player and important cog. However, Warren has no counter for Cason who has to play well for Siegel to win. Siegel will win by 22 with everyone playing. Riverdale still remembers and smarts over the Blackman game. Lebanon does have more than Elie and Jennings has come out of the pack and stepped up her play lately. Lebanon does play good at home and especially against Riverdale. If Elie scores in the mid 20's which she has done lately and Jennings scores close to 20 which she has done lately and the rest get 10 to 15 points, a barnburner at Lebanon High School and won on the boards and maybe on the defensive end, Riverdale by 3. A close game that can be called either way.

And now, the game of the night, Cookeville/Blackman. Too many teams have gone to cookeville lately and come up short, Helton or no Helton. Johnson is having a fine season. Cookeville's bench will not compare with Blackman but Cookeville's Helton, Johnson and Brooks will get you 40 points any night. If Campbell scores in the 20's, Dorsett, "the mad bomber" scores 10 or more and Nowlin scores 12 or more and the rest get 15 and the Coach Hibdon's match up Defense does what it has done to other 7AAA teams, Helton and Johnson will have to deal with the defensive prowess of Blackman and Cookeville may not have enough for Blackman. But Cookeville has stepped it up in big games in 7AAA this year and with the Swami this one is difficult to call. In a very close game, with this being a game that a fan needs in particularly to watch the coaching moves, in overtime, Blackman by 2. Whoever wins this game might win the regular season District title.

So the Swami's record speaks for itself, it's outstanding. The teams in 7AAA are getting better but For someone to catch Blackman, Cookeville or White, Riverdale needs to win some Big games and they are capable but maybe not quite there yet but Lanning could be a good return, Lebanon can explode just any time against anyone and their whole team seems to be playing better but it still is an Elie team, and Siegel's team has developed some holes if indeed Burns is lost for the year and can't find the the answer for the rebounding deficit that beat them the last game along with turnovers. Someone will have to step up with Cason and Connell and it might be Nash as she has played well lately. Cason with 18, Connell with 13, Nash playing with 9 means the answer at Siegel is Defense and rebounding and and less turnovers and the young Stars will have to have players to step up in that regard.

The first half of the regular season is now getting clearer but the regular season Champions are still in doubt and lead up to one of the finest 7AAA Tournament finishes in the last few years with some work to do with several of the Schools.

The question of the night is "Where is airball" and what school is he or she from? He came from outer space. Something tells me the Swami has something to do with that predictor>.

Wow!!!! The Airball is from LHS? He/She has been hiding all year and likely caught you on one of your trips thru Lebanon. Its hard to believe as he just sails thru without notice and really has his home work done. Riverdaleman slhould have some comments on that if he sails thru again and especially if he picks Lebanon. The RD has been strangely quiet but something is happening over at Riverdale and they will be ready for sure. May be saving up gas money for the trip.

Its interesting that Memphis Central is tops in the AP top 10 rankings and Riverdale is 8th with White County trying to break in to the top 10 with 12 votes. These votes are deserving, however, votes for Cookeville and Blackman along with Lebanon could have been in order in the District. Riverdale certainly has had some big wins but has plateaued recently after having a great 2008 run. Hillary Maxwell has certainly developed a bench in her short time there and Barbee, Haislip, Henry, Lanning and Spurlock, at times have filled in the needs. Injuries in 7AAA seem to be making some impact with some teams but team balance seems to be taking over with some of the top teams. White, in particularly, plays a lot of players and the way the Coach at White has brought that school around the past three years to be able to do that and win without a big or two has been impressive especially and keep everyone happy. Daniels, Delaney, Roberts, Sims and particularly Yslas have kept White healthy and rested this season while their win/loss record has been building. Cookeville, while not playing a lot of players, just reaches down and picks someone to fill in and they respond. Certainly when two dominent players as Helton and Johnson are, fill the needs, everything is all right with Brooks just being a very consistant player behind them. Lebanon, unless its Cookeville, has an explosive team and a young coach that seems to have brought their players together and the last Tower, Icelyn Elie, is proving the confidence MTSU has made in her, by at times being a more than dominent player and by the end of the season, with an up and coming player Jennings as well as Brewington and Collins could make an impact on District Tournament as well a Regional play.

And then there's Blackman who most everyone over looked at the first of the season but has proven so far they deseerve their District standing and will get another test Tonight in what Cookeville has made "Heartbreak Hill" when Schools visit the plateau so far this time in the season. Blackman has an exceptional player in Campbell who has the ability to distribute and shoot from all angles of the court, Dorsett who is playing a different role in this years team but has unlimited range, Norris and Nowlin,Smith, and Overton and a Coach who has been building the current team for the last two years. Only injuries will keep this team from continuing to win which happened against Siegel when the sometimes injured Kate Smith went down with an injury.

Siegel, while having some very good talent, has not shown the consistancy on both ends of the court that generally has been the trademark of Coach Bush's teams. Inside play and turnovers with a young team has been the primary reason. Oakland just doesn't have enough players that will step up and Warren with a season ending injury to that one very good player they had, is now in a position of restarting with what looks to be some talented "young guns" and looking tward the future which they have had to do with injuries every year for the past few years.

So the top tier teams, the top five, could have reason to claim some votes for top 10 selections and the bottom three still trying to find those players to fill the spots. This District is stronger this year overall.

Obviously missing from the list are those teams from District 8AAA, Shelbyville, Lawrence, etc. They were left off and IMO mistakenly. While not as strong as in the past, these teams will make an impact again in the state tournament this year. The same is true with Smyrna who will make District 9 a donneybrook with Wilson and Mt Juliet.

Just got through with my last assignment and am ready for some stellar predictions. I do believe 7-aaa fans are the most knowledgeable in the state (swami,phargis,riverdaleman,85warrior,and many more). Here is how i see the games tonight.

Riverdale by 9

White Co. by 20

Siegel by 24

Blackman by 4

From the DNJ

The Lady Blaze basketball team received a scare during Friday night's District 7-AAA game at Siegel when sophomore Katie Smith fell to the floor and grabbed her left knee. She missed last season due to a knee injury to that same knee.

However, Blackman coach Chad Hibdon said the injury does not to be severe. Smith, a 6-foot-1 post, also bumped the knee during the girls soccer season.

"She tweaked it," Hibdon said. "It was jarred from hitting the floor more than anything."

Hibdon said the injury shouldn't keep her off the floor for any extended time. She may play today at Cookeville, in a game that will determine the district leader.

So is Chad for real or is he playing the injury report game?
