This is about what I thought it might be.....McMinn was a bit sluggish on offense but moved the ball well at times. Defense came out a little flat in the 3rd quarter but picked it up after Heritage scored......a win is a win and McMinn is glad to have them.

On another note.....I do not like Thursday night games......McMinn's crowd was down and it messes up the whole week, not to mention I had to get up and come to work this morning. High school football is supposed to be on Friday nights lets outlaw Thursday night games!

some of the heritage boys said that was the most fun they had all season,they said even when in their stance waiting for the snap both teams would be cutting each other down and everybody on both lines would be laughing. we sufferd lot of reinjuries #43 jones(shoulder) that he hurt in the seymour game #54 costner (knee) and #74 garland (knee) who was playing with a torn acl. But they enjoyed the game and thats what counts.

Several of us 'McCain-Palin' supporters were at the cafeteria attending the Ronald Reagan Dinner put on by the McMinn County Republican Women. Good crowd and some pretty good food catered by Buddy's. Excellent speech was given by Congressman John Duncan, Jr. As many people as there were at this fundraiser, it took away some of the available parking. I'm sure the McMinn AD knew of this event when he rescheduled the game. So it's a good thing the crowd wasn't big. However, I would think they would want a big crowd for EVERY game........ie, tickets purchased, concession revenues, booster club selling items, and the general support one expects for a home team game. I agree, they should have left it alone and played tonight.....even if one of the homecoming candidiates got a drop or two of rain on them. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

 

Congrats on the win! Be sure to beat the Bears into oblivion next FRIDAY!

Made the trip up HWY 11 last night. I saw a different QB for McMinn than I seen the last time I watched them play. I was impressed with #7, who is he and what grade is he in. What happened to the other QB.
