Well, coach, to be honest with you... David Jones from South Pitt. is probably the best back in 1A that I've seen in the past 2 seasons. I saw him last year in the championship and he was unbelievable! I'm sure he's having just as good of a season this year. He'd be my unbiased 1A Mr. Football vote!

 

If you want a West TN nomination, it'd be Colton Speed from Union City. I saw him play before the season started in a scrimmage against us and I knew he'd be the real deal. The offense Union City runs is ideal for Colton with his speed and athleticism. They run the veer offense by the way.

Between field goals, PATs and touchdowns, he has scored 104 points so far this season. Against Fayette Academy Friday night, he scored 4 touchdowns, kicked a 37 yd field goal (his long is 47), and kicked 5 PATs. His kick offs usually land in the end zone. Against JCS his 4th quarter kickoff went out of the end zone. That is after playing both ways all game.

RB . Mitch Miller from Cosby has his team sittin at 8-1 and on the cusp of the schools first region title ever with them at 4-0 in region play with one game left. He has 907 rushing yards and 11 tds to go with 60 tackles on defense with 2 ints one returned for a td.
