KL, Old Pirate kinda stay at way to long after the FSC & TC last week and then the wife found some matches from the place OP was forced to visit.

Just been a rough week, that why OP is taking the wife to that funeral, oops wedding, they are similar events.

OP says the Pirates week get them cleat pads smoking early and cruise to a 9-0 regular season. OP is sure the Grace kids will play hard.

No OP.... I told you about hanging out in those places.... /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />

OP,

Glad to see you have surfaced again. KL was begining to wonder about you. I thought you may have suffered another skillet upside your old noggin. What are you thoughts on tomorrow's game for the region title?

Ya'll moved your game to Sat....fri night lights??? LOL. Some parents and coaches have little kids who want to go trick or treating...good enough reason for you??? I never thought about the Grace players who may be a little sore /laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Zone, SP is undefeated all time on Halloween nights. SP played Gordonsville for home coming one year for Halloween. The were #2 in the state and Treated on the way in and Tricked on the way out. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

On top of that our colors are orange and black.

There were never any stories on this end about the game being moved. Halloween can be a fun day, but not big enough day to change the date on a football game. For those that are traveling, drive safe and good luck.

PG, Old Pirate should have been more careful, them there wifes like to play dedective. OP heard SC was wearing some black jerseys against them warriors friday. Hum...... kinda strange for a team to up and change colors? The Pirates win this game easily and hopefully come thru injury free. OP says Good Luck to them boys from Jasper. Wonder if SC changing to black.........? yep...... Folks around these parts know them warriors get a little shook when facing a team in Black. Could it be...nah them SC players don't have a chance fooling them warriors for long. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Yea, they still don't have a chance! Rameal Robinson, Bubba Ramsey, or Jonathon Sellers could easily take his spot in the first half. It is a minor issue involving David nothing for anyone to worry about! I just feel sorry for Grace because you will have a fast and fresh David Jones in the second half against a tired Grace defense which equals points points points!

David Jones or not, we will still dominate this game from start to finish.....

Pirates 56

Grace 8

See ya at the game.....

Some people try to read to much into a situation sometimes like this one,but this is a internal matter that stay's in house and believe me it's no big deal. Powerp is right,a fresh David Jones to probaly play the whole 2nd half could be rough on Grace. I hope everyone comes out healthy on both sides.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
