Oak Ridge vs. Farragut predictions?

Farragut's biggest problem is usually focus. There is always so much going on outside football that players are easily distracted. Tonight there is Senior Night and Halloween. I'm sure there are plenty of Halloween parties going on around West Knoxville tonight that the players are planning on attending, and because of that I am predicting a little lower score:

Farragut 24 - Oak Ridge 10

Oak Ridge will probably hit us for one big play, either in the kicking game, or a long pass.

I have to agree with on this one. I went to practice on Tuesday and left early because two areas did a lot of playing around this week. I will say long pass. The Clark kid is not playing QB tonight and the other kid is 6'3 and weighs about 260 lbs and can throw it a mile. He played QB two years ago in the 7 on 7 at UT when OR and Farragut played and OR won. He also is one of there best down linemen on defense.

I find it hard to believe that they will play him at QB and D-line tonight since the Clark kid is hurt. Dont wana risk another injury to a QB and be left with someone with no experience. If the coach does that he might have some problems but you just never know.

Sorry about that I did't word it right. Irby is from what I heard there best D-line and with Clark out thats big. With him not playing D-line and Clark out at QB plus DB that hurts OR.

That hurts Oak Ridge alot especially since IRBY is their best D-lineman. Either way though i feel Farragut will be able to move the ball on the ground on their defense just from what i have seen out of OR this year.

I believe Tyler Clark will see a good deal of time at quarterback but you are not exactly right about David Irby being Oak Ridge's best defensive lineman. He has played there very little as of late and not because of Tyler's injury.

Thanks for the info. I am glad to here Tyler will be able to play tonight for OR. What happened to him was it his ankle against SD. Has Irby not played much till now or of late. He is a big kid. Thanks

Yeah I think it was an ankle sprain and he had strep throat.

Irby has played a fair amount at QB this year I think.

Farragut up 19-0 at halftime. Probably could easily be worse. Farragut has been inside the redzone 5 times. 1fg, 2tds, 1missed fg, and 1 blocked. Farragut also somehow got a safety. I didn't see it but i think it was cause of intentional grounding? maybe. Oak Ridge did make it inside Farragut's redzone but lost some yards and missed the 4th and goal.

    • Hoping my rebels can get over the hump this year.

ER O line will be improved from last year though. Marion is the second best team in all of 2A imo behind ER and ahead of Huntingdon.” As I said in the ER thread. Huntingdon physicality could make problems for Marion if they do meet in the state championship. ER does still have more speed than Marion as of now. I’m gonna go watch the highlights of the two transfers and get back to yall and see if my perspective has changed.
