dick vitale
I would agree with you also on the first team. My only problem, like yourself, would be to decide between Buda and Fanney at point guard. I also really like Nelson from Jeff. I think that three of the best point guards in the state are in the IMAC. In the games that I watched, I would also have Smith in there on the second team and probably Shipley over Lewis. You couldn't go wrong with any of the three, though. Also, after looking at the finalist for AAA Miss Basketball between Taylor Hall, Jasmine Hassell, and Jasmine Lewis, if I had a vote, it would go to Hall. I love her game. Solid in every area. Does anyone have any updates on Depew? Just wandering if she would be playing in the tournament this week. Hello, have you ever heard of a gal named, Lauren Avant. It just so happens that she committed to the Lady Vols as an 8th grader.........
raiderray
Hello, have you ever heard of a gal named, Lauren Avant. It just so happens that she committed to the Lady Vols as an 8th grader......... Dick you PTP'er...He said 3 of the best, not THE three best. Calm down. And no joke, there are a lot of 8th graders comitting to the Lady Vols. The key is if Pat committs to them. In Lauren's case, I guess she did. Between you and the Kayla Christopher publicity corp, it is hard to get anyone else's name out there. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Just joshing with you man. PTSportsWriter
Dobyns-Bennett lost tonight to Sullivan South (at Dobyns-Bennett) in a District 1-AAA quarterfinal. Means one of the likely top 2 seeds in the tournament out of District 1 is gone. Should make for a bit of an easier road for the #3 team out of District 2 (not that life on the road in the region is easy...). District 1's four teams into the region are Tennessee High/Science Hill and Sullivan South/Sullivan Central. Semifinals are played on Friday night. I just can't imagine that the doctor would release her to play. Mono can be so dangerous because of the danger of a ruptured spleen.
gomerpyle
Sometimes the spleen doesn't swell with mono. There are different degrees of severity. A lot of times, it doesn't get diagnosed until it's almost run it's course because the main symptom is just being tired all time. There are a lot of false negative tests for it as well - just a tough illness to deal with.

That is girl is an absolute joke if you are referring to the one that played for Lausaunne in the Ladies Classic over Christmas break down in Greeneville. She's quick but thats about it. She could not finish around the basket , no perimeter jumpshot . I would take about 5-7 girls out our conference before i would even think about giving here a look. Maybe you would, but Coach Summitt obviously thinks differently. Willing to bet she has a lot more experience evaluating D1 talent than yourself. norton_65
maybe but the way im thinking is ..... look at the talent she has now at UT that are Fresh or Soph. once they get seniors all she'll really need is roleplayers kind of like the alex fuller situation is currently+
ghsbballfan
My All Conference team: When you look at this, you need to know that: A: I am not using a predetermined # of players from a school B: I have seen a limited # of games this year, so some of my opinions are going to be based on what many of you have said on here, and what I have seen in previous years. 1st team: This is by position I would play them at: 1 - Buda- Cocke County 2 - Goins- M West 3 - Depew - Cocle County 4 - Dickson - Greeneville 5 - T Hall - M West 2nd tean: 1- Fanney -M West (this was the closest position to pick) 2 - I don't think there is another "true" all star 2 guard in the conference, so I am going to pick two 3's. Maybe Hale at East qualifies... 3 - Shipley - Greeneville, Lewis - Cocke County ( and I could have picked Smith from West) 4 - Leeper - M East 5 - Ryans - Cherokee Okay - I am an easy target - tell me where I am wrong... /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Really good job, actually. If it were possible to add a "injured reserve" category, it would definitely include Greeneville's Brianna Kelley. She has as good or better stats than alot of those mentioned above with only playing 1/2 the season before her knee injury. Really solid overall player. Any others for this category? I would switch Fanney and Buda, first and second team, and I think you have to have Kelly Smith on there. Just my opinion. I have seen every team play at least twice. She probably becomes a role player in Knoxville...but while she was off at the Ladie's Classic, I saw her play a couple of years ago at Lipscomb in the DII state, and the girl can play. I think she may have been sick at the Ladie's Classic. There was one game where she didn't leave the bench, although she was dressed out. Word was she was under the weather during the tournament. When she's on though, I don't think any point guard in this area can handle her. Just my opinion. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
