REBELRON
Funny thing is when I went to the Cumberland Gap/Alcoa game some Cumberland Gap fans were telling me that Bell County was wanting to play Maryville and Alcoa.
osk24
Prattville is a 6A school with 2,063 students (2007). Alcoa is a 2A school with less than 500 students. Nice matchup. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Prattville and Maryville should match up maybe on a college campus
daboss18
i know its far but if your talkin about alcoa playing border states, go to missouri. they might not be as fast but they hit 10 times harder and dont pass much. its all about power football there. offenses run it up the gut every play. usually effective. schools on the east side of the state to play: jackson any stlouis school, hayti (1A but equivalent to alcoa in 2@) farmington new madrid county central
newguy
If they are looking for a more competitive schedule.....they need to travel south......going north is not going to prove anything If they are looking to see how they stack up, there are plenty of teams in Florida willing to travel as well You could see by this year's broadcasts in HS football
bellgo
Russellville is a very good team, they have a 6'6 240lb QB with a cannon. They are 4A. Strong tradition like the Alcoa College size players Deshler is incredibly fast. All 6 backs run under 4.3-4.5 range. They beat #2 North Jackson 39-0 last week. Both of these teams you mentioned are very good out of Alabama. Russellville is actually 5A (playing Hartselle in the playoff quarterfinals) and Deshler is 4A (who plays Brooks tomorrow). Hartselle is another tough team in AL. i know its far but if your talkin about alcoa playing border states, go to missouri. they might not be as fast but they hit 10 times harder and dont pass much. its all about power football there. offenses run it up the gut every play. usually effective. schools on the east side of the state to play: jackson any stlouis school, hayti (1A but equivalent to alcoa in 2@) farmington new madrid county central Living in the St. Louis area, you are right about high school football in St. Louis. Some teams are one-dimensional and some pass more than others; they are physical and not necessarily finesse. I do think Alcoa could play with some of the St. Louis schools, but not all of them. The other teams you mentioned are from SE Missouri and are competitive. I don't think Alcoa would too much trouble with those teams, except for Jackson. Jackson is Class 5 (very competitive), Farmington is Class 4, New Madrid County Central is Class 3, and Hayti is Class 1.
