12 of those 18 were in one game. Points scored on alcoa in 1 game: 0

YOu will know who the big boys are when they announce us in at Floyd Stadium on friday night :]

I love how you leave one person out , Maryville , 4 time defending 4A state Champs , Nationaly ranked and argurably the best team in TN right now.

would you like me to analyze your schedule? I will leave South Pitt out for ya , cause we dont want everyone to know you got beat by a 1A team in your "first game"

I don't get the joke about leaving South Pitt. out. Please explain. I must be very tired because I just don't get it.

Driving Rain + Alcoa + Whitehouse ( 3A Semi Finals) = Alcoa wins 28-3

BCS states his opinion and insults West TN football and everyone gets all uptight. Relax a little. He is just under the impression that West TN has struggled in 2A the last few years, I am sure if you all correct him he will come around. Just show him the West TN dominance that is in the 5 classes and he will take back what he said. Let us know where the East has been weak in the championships and he will recant his statements. Actually, upon further review I agree with his assessment of the West. Then again Milan is the best of the west and they will be meeting the beasts from the east in what I expect to be a battle.

Fact is, West TN has been on a tough road in 2A and it will be tough for them on Friday as well. I for one am ecstatic that Milan beat the perennial runners up in Goodpasture. This increases my excitement to make the trip and see what I expect will be a tough game. Alcoa needs to heal up and I am sure they will plan for Milan and bring it. I predict that Alcoa will win this one by 14 or 21. It will be up in the air for most of the game but depth and Rankin will pull them ahead. Sam Thompson will play like a man possessed and his play along with Robinson and the line will decide the outcome. Alcoa faced a tough CAK team and won, they overcame a turnover bug in that game. Then they played poorly for 2 quarters on offense against Loudon. Faced a tough Marion team and pulled away when it mattered but they never trailed. Alcoa whipped up on White House who came one game from state and played Maryville tough as well and they are also going for 5. Alcoa is tested and ready. If Alcoa fires on all cylinders and Milan allows Alcoa to get in their head then it gets real ugly. I don't see that happening. I see a tough game on both sides with Alcoa winning their fifth consecutive.

QUOTE (MilanBulldog94 @ Nov 30 2008 - 07:52 PM)

Does anyone know if Rankin still recruits players from out of the school district or school zone to play for his team like he did when he was a Riverdale in the Boro?

Yes, Rankin travels statewide picking up players and begging them to come play for him. The hard work by the kids, the tradition, the discipline he has instilled, the desire to win, the superior coaching, the pride of accomplishment, the YOUTH PROGRAMS, none of this makes Alcoa champions, only the "recruiting".

In case you are to dense to understand the sarcasm I gratuitously used in my previous post let me clarify something. Alcoa has home grown talent. No need to recruit, it grows in Blount County, that is why Maryville is good as well. But congrats on using the R word, that almost makes this Alcoa thread complete. No Alcoa or Maryville thread is complete without the use of the R word, open zones, and of course posts by FBE.

Lets see:

Recruiting- check

FBE- check

Open Zones-

If BCS would argue his point the way you do, I don't think that anyone would be mad. He doesn't.

For the record Milan Fans.

I will be the first or will try to be the first on there to congratulate Milan if they beat Alcoa. I will eat crow for "all my talk" Promise.

But, till then I'm going to continue to aggravate you guys /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> But, please take it as that..........there is no mean spirit or hate. From post one I have never stated Milan does not have a chance against Alcoa, and have continued to support the fact that it will be a good game. I will continue to attempt to put doubt in you mine that Milan can win, and that has been my game plan. It's the big game, the more this game is talked up the BIGGER the game becomes! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

I am excited about this game, and had a feeling it would be a Milan/Alcoa match-up very early in the season.

I REALLY hope for a game like 2004! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />

"Even seen Milan play?" /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> ....No.

Ever seen a REAL F5! /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

I guess my next question is why would you try to put doubt in our minds that Milan can win? We won't be on the field. It just doesn't make sense to me, but then again, almost nothing you've said to this point has made a whole lot of sense to me.

okay everybody. first of all. this will be the hardest hitting football games of the year. Moo G will run the rock for a hundred + yards while Avery Williamson and Christian Coleman, who may very well both be future D1 star players, will lead the Milan defense to a huge win. no offense to Alcoa's opponents but they havent played anyone this good since Maryville.I have seen them play and seen film on them. these teams are mirror images of each other.Milan's o-line will be the difference in this game and i think Milan pulls the upset in a running affair. 21-20 /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" />

BCsportsfan,

I saw where you said that your Daddy bought you a Coach T plus membership. You sound so proud of that. I'm so glad that your Daddy did this for you. Also, I saw where you know how to add...great! You said that 9+1=10. Great! That was really good. But, remember, there's more to life than math. So, study your history and science before tomorrows quiz. Oh yeah, I'm afraid that you're going to fail spelling. It wasnt your teacher that told us. We kind of figured it out for ourselves. Maybe Daddy will get you a tutor?

Now, if you're a good, little boy....Daddy will take you to the game Friday and buy your ticket and a hot dog and a coke. But, that's going to mean that you play nice on the computer until then. Can you do it?

I don't have anything to gain or lose with this game but...

Does the TSSAA do the trophy presentations after dark even though the game is over while it looks to be about 3pm?

The photo shopping has been lackluster so far but this one is just awful.

With that being said, I hope that they play to a tie and have to come back next week.

Good God BC, I take a nap and you gain momentum like Obama....

In case you didn't know, I am the APB here to let you know....

You Hayseeds can Google that big word....

This is the best one of the year APB, hope to see ya down in the Boro before and after the game. Bring some wax for the trophy ok? /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

This game is gonna be one for books. Our D is goin to be outstanding and ready to go after our hard practices and our annual practice at UT this week. Milans O Line was very impressive on the film i got to see earlier , excited to see how our defenses speed matches up , after all , ours is pretty fast. Jr TE Tyler Robinson will be a key player in this weeks win , along with our 2ndary and also we will have to depend on #2 FB Tyson to get down dirty and wear off Milans D line, He will bringin it every play , all 245lbs of him /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" />

" That was the fastest defense ive ever seen , it seemed like they had 30 guys out their on that ball at some times"- CAK's head coach after 28-14 loss to Alcoa in Playoffs

With that said ,

Alcoa 31

Milan 24

Just got through reading the enire thread lol took forever. . . .The bottom line is on Friday Dec. 5 at 7 pm the best of the west is going to meet the best from the east. . . .Records and stats and all of these opinions or"options" are not going to matter, so there aint no since in agruing like a bunch of little highschoolers "althought most of yall prolly are". Just let it all rest and let the kids do all the talking on friday night when these two great tradition filled programs finally meet. . . . Something i wanted so bad the last four years that i played.
