MidTennFootball
ok i know if your an Oakland fan you would say they was the best team. I am here to tell you if Oakland and Franklin played again, Franklin will win. Who ever scored last was the team who was going to win that game. It shouldn't have been that close. There is many flukes that happened that Oakland didn't even cause/ If you don't believe me, believe unapproved website.com or any other website that shows rankings in the state. Top 3 in Tennessee 1. Memphis University 2. Franklin 3. Oakland Rank em however you want, rank Oakland dead last for all I care. What I do know is that Oakland is the 5A state champions. Could Franklin have won if they played again? Of course, but they didnt, this is not a best of 7, which is why playoff football is like none other. The people that post the rankings and power ratings have given Oakland the finger all year long, yet Oakland is the won that has the gold ball, so what does that tell ya? MidTennFootball
Congrats to the Patriots! I didn't think you could do it but you proved me wrong. Franklin had no hopes of stopping any 3rd down less than 3 yards. Your boys are big! Bass impressed me more than Valentine, may be Franklin keyed on him and I believe the ankle was bothering him in the 2nd half. You kept Franklin from getting their usual big plays and they killed themselves with turnovers. On the play of Oakland's 1st score, it was 3rd and 8 and Webb had pretty much the entire D on the line of scrimmage. When Bass broke thru the initial line, there was no one between him and the goal. Why was that D called??? On offense, several times low percentive passes were thrown killing drives. KEYLO was the key to winning which was under utilized. He was effective every time a pass was thrown to him. A game plan of multiple short passes would have given Franklin a much better shot as Oakland's Dline was too good to have the run as the primary play. Ford may have gotten his long runs if the Dline was looking pass. I'm not saying it would definately gotten the win, but Franklin left alot of plays unused. Congrats to the Rebel players for a fine season, coaching seemed to hurt you. Again, congrats to the Patriots, you seemed to win with much more class than the Bulldogs. Thanks. You guys are by far the best Offense Oakland has had to go up against all year, O-Line included. The skill players that the Rebels possess blow me away, there is a lot of talent there, especially with Nichols and Ford. It was truly a classic game all the way around, one of those games where I could watch the Rebels and the Patriots go at it every day for the next 3 months and still not tire of it. What a way to end an amazing season

What makes you the best is not making those mistakes, whether Oakland caused them or not.

slingmdeep
I guess you haven't seen every site. http://bellsouthpwp2.net/p/o/powerrater/h-s-foot.htm Franklin is #5 here and Oakland is #2. I'm sure they're wrong, in your biased book. None of these matter. Oakland was also "supposed" to lose to Ooltewah, Wilson Central, LaVergne, and Riverdale in the Massey Ratings. We've heard excuses all year from almost every team after they got beat. Fact is, they got beat. By the way, that Gold Ball fits nicely in the trophy case.
