Jo Byrns vs Trousdale County

shocker got any insight to take tc off the throne

 

 

Stop the run. I think they only threw one pass all night and that was a halfback pass that was complete near the end of the game (No idea why they felt that was necessary, guess they wanted to make it look as bad as some of their fans were predicting all week. A few of the smarter posters knew it was going to be a defensive battle) /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

 

Oneida thrived on the running game all season but TC shut it down for the most part. I wish Oneida would have passed more because they had quite a bit of success doing that (9-14 on completions). They converted most of their 3rd downs with 10-15 yard passes. So if TC had a weakness it was against the pass, although they did pick the ball of twice but those were more of desperation passes by Oneida (one being in the endzone on 4th down, and the other with about 1 minute to go in the game).

 

Oneida had a few chances, but I don't think they took enough risks. I don't know if Jo Byrns has a passing game or not but if they can use it could help them keep it closer.

 

I do think the west is stronger than the credit they are getting, in part because Collinwood (Region 5 I think) beat Harriman 47-7 in a bowl game a few weeks back and that was surprising. I know it's a bowl game, but still...over here we thought Harriman was pretty good just didn't play well at times.

 

Could be a closer game than people expect, but Trousdale runs the ball a lot and will try to wear you down. They also switch quarterbacks about every play I believe.

 

And there's this one guy who makes about every tackle for Trousdale and runs the ball, too. His last name is C, See, Cee, Cea or somethin like that Tocoa Cee or something.

 

What really cost Oneida was when Trousdale was forced to punt with about 7 minutes left in the game on 4th and 3, and Oneida jumped offsides. Their only penalty all night, but the costliest one of the game.

 

 

I think both teams were even, except Trousdale had a little more speed which allowed them to get a few long runs. So if you guys have some speed of your own on defense now would be a good time to put it to use /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

thanks shocker i hope old tc thinks the west is weak they could be in for a surprise in the boro. you going to make it down that way fri

well i am not saying tc is not good but you make it sound like there is no respect to jb and the game you saw was the worst game thay had all yr and jb does have a pretty good D

 

you have our respect just for being there. cogradulations to jo byrns for making the dance. it's a great experience and you're gonna love it.

thanks yjacket tc has always been tops in class but just like all u got some bad apples we try to overlook them though it does add to the excitement . congrats to the jackets also on their win look forward to a good game friday

reddevil36,TC probably has this game already in the bag.They should probably skip watching any game film,or practicing this week. Why should they waste their time practicing??? Heck, lil' ole Jo Byrns ain't going to do nothing but go to the 'boro and roll over for those mighty Yellow Jackets.They are strong,but we are weak. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
