Gabby
We're down to two. Ready to start talking all-conference. I tried to make this easy to start with and picked several from each school. Science Hill Daniel Norris Ben McKinney Patterson, Reed, or Sharp Davy Crockett Clinton Freeman Chris Marti Brandon Massey Sullivan South Tristan Archer Reid Matthews Lockhart, St. Clair Sullivan Central Carl Roberts Matt Harmon Cody Hyden Sullivan East Des Greer Tyler Gaby Kevin Love Daniel Boone Kevin Connell Caleb Dishner Cody Connell, Reynolds, Jones Volunteer Tyler Hutson Dylan Frazier Jake Parker Tennessee High Jon Krebbs Jerrod Payne Cunningham, Mullins DB Dylan Harvey Joe Doran Jamie Crawford, Tried to do it by position but it was very hard. so many are good fielders, hitters, and pitchers or a combo of the two. There are many that are only one and that is hard to pick them over someone who does more than one. I watched Science Hill the most, so I will talk mostly about them. My nominations: Daniel Norris--MVP, centerfield, pitcher Ben McKinney--leftfield, honorable mention as pitcher Jon Krebs--3b Nathaniel Patterson--honorable mention first base I thought Daniel Norris was the most dominate player in Big 9 toward the end of the year. I would nominate him for center field and pitcher and MVP. As an oufielder he was a good hitter, good fielder, got good jump in the outfield, had outstanding speed, good arm. Dominating as a pitcher. Norris carried Science Hill this year. Science Hill is always in the ball game when Norris pitches. If Norris is healthy, Science Hill will be the team to beat for the next two years. I thought Ben McKinney was a good outfielder. Started him at 3b (probably not a good idea). Strong hitter. He was hampered by arm problems, so hesitant to nominate him as a pitcher due lack of consistency. Other pitchers in the district were probably more reliable and consistent. Nat-Pat would get an honorable mention. I'm not sure his hitting was consistent enough for first team, although he played good defensively at first base. Of the others that I saw play, Krebs impressed me at third base. I didn't see enough games with the others to make a cogent choice.

Nick had a great year, very consistent both at the plate and in the field. His batting average was .500 or above the whole year except for the last week. He ended up leading the the DB team in virtually every offensive category including BA, HR's, RBI's, triples, OB %, total hits and was 2nd in doubles. Played great defense as well. Plowboy Deluxe
Pitchers do get most of the glory. They can and do decide the out come of many games. Norris is awesome. No doubt going to be one of the best to come out of this area. But my top 2 for MVP would be Krebs and Archer in that order. My big 9 team... 1st base Nat Pat / Justin Trent 2nd Nick Loughry SS Jamie Crawford 3rd Massie / Mullins Outfield Freeman Gaby Norris Catcher Delouch Rhyno Reed Pitchers archer krebs Harvey DES Norris

Both teams hit it well Monday. NETFAN, just got back into town from a Mother's Day trip to take mama to see the kids and grands. Wanted to tell you that your boys played a good game the other night. Archer is sure a good little pitcher. The conditions were not the best in the world but our PATS just ran out of steam. I do send congrats along to SH and Crockett for their wins. I was impressed with Crockett's win over South. Seemed like the Crockett boys wanted the win more. They were sure fired up. So it's been a good bb season and sure enjoyed the chats with all. Reckon, football will be next.
