I don't see how they can avoid the playoffs....the big question is what happens in the first round

 

I wish Oliver Spring's schedule was a little tougher, just so it could get them ready for the playoffs. But it is what it is and there is nothing that can be done about that for at least 2 more years i think. Depending how well they do against Oneida would tell me how well they could fair in the playoffs. I would love to see O.S. play Rockwood in the first round, i think that would be a slobber knocker of a game! Plus, when you dont play a team in the regular season and then you play them in the playoffs, it seems to me that it would be an even bigger game. I dont like having to play the same team twice in a season because it makes that first game seem meaningless!

The exact same thing can be said about Rockwood, all they have to do is beat Tellico and they make the play-offs. I would rather face Tellico than Oneida anyday.

 

Not exactly.........OS can(and will) lose to Oneida and will still make the playoffs........Rockwood will have to finish ahead of Tellico ......or Tellico finish 1st and Rockwood 2nd in the district ,to make the playoffs.....completely different

You can't blame Rockwood for that they didnt draw the district but Rockwood is going out and playing Sweetwater & Kingston out of district who is Oliver Springs playing??????? oh thats right cupcakes

Never take any game for granted....tho i do like Rockwoods chances.........I was just saying that OS and Rockwood have different situations to make the playoffs..........and FWIW......I think both will

I hope your right, both teams deserve a chance to shine after playing in the toughest region in 2-A football.

 

I've seen other posters comment on how weak our 2-A region was because of the success of Alcoa, I don't buy that theory, I think Alcoa was and is a top notch football team, they would have had their way in alot of regions. From what I've been told, the next three years could produce the best Alcoa teams ever, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

      Hmmmmm……doe dee doe doe….i drove the lawnmower down to practice today…….hmmmm…… we got some new faces……….       I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.

      Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.

      Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
