How did they look today?

What's happening ruapioneer? The Pioneers went undefeated today! They beat Lebanon (played two games 1 strings and second strings), Macon Co., Trousdale Co. and Red Boiling Springs. They looked o.k. It was hard on everybody to throw deep due to the wind. Got alot of good work in.

Where is all our players at? Looked like slim numbers to me this week! What the crap is going on in WC? Several seniors aren't showing up. Either they show up or be kicked off! Their choice. Heard one player said a cuss word during workouts and Coach Madewell told him to do 10 push-ups and he said "No" so he was asked to leave and did. It's a shame we don't have more committment and desire from our players. Makes you wonder what's going to happen when they go out in the real world!

He's going to be fine. Still pretty sore from facial injuries. He is participating with the team, just no contact for now. He was very lucky and the good Lord was with him!

Warren County lost a great coach and supporter with the passing of Keith Maxwell last Friday. It won't be the same without him around the games. A TRUE LEGEND in WC sports!

    • Glen Morton was the announcer for WGAP.
    • And that needs to go, Charter ,private ,magnet, city and any school that operates differently than pure public schools should be separated. What really needs to be done is address urban and rural. About all the usual powers have access to several kids from other schools period.
    • Sad deal. Hate it. So the coach that kicked her off is now fired??
    • Slightly off topic from a gender standpoint but just observed several boys volleyball games in the Knoxville area for a short spring season. The guys seemed to have a great time. There were several club players on each team but several football, basketball and tennis players involved. Knoxville Catholic, Maryville, Heritage, Knoxville West maybe William Blount had teams. Thanks to Coach Brent Carter from Knoxville Catholic/K2 for getting it together. I’m sure the coaches involved got several laughs trying to coach guys that really had no idea what they were talking about but pretty athletic and competitive. Catholic’s best basketball player told the coach he had played a lot of 2:3 and 1:3:1 but never a 3:3 LOL Maybe it will catch on with some more schools next year.
