Do you think all those Middle Tennessee people will come watch Bradley, Cleveland and Soddy-Daisy fight it out? /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

I think it will be a down year for one of those teams. Maybe some east TN teams will suffer from bad beds,

bad food, travel sickness, etc.... The Middle Tn teams will have the home field advantage next year!

Things are looking up.

You never know when something bad happens what good might come of it. I can remember the articles that Ward Gossett wrote about Jeff Jordan when he was trying to sir trouble up in Clarksville. And then the TSSAA demanding Jeff to be punished because he used his first admendment right of free speech. Coaches claiming that we had some type of advantage in the duals. We really didn't know why these things were happening to our program. Look what good things did happen to wrestling. If Clarksville and Jeff Jordan had to take one on the chin to improve the State Tournaments I couldn't think of anyone or any program that could do it as well. This is great news for middle and west Tn.

NOW WE NEED TO PUSH FOR DOUBLE ELIMINATION!

THE ANIMAL

While you are pushing, as wrestlers, fans and coaches why not take the lead in Tennessee and ask for D1 & D2 to be pushed back together for the individual state championships? Moving the state tournament was a money deal & the TSSAA must feel that they will able to pocket more $$$$$$$ if the tournament is in Franklin, TN. The TSSAA would have all state championships on Pluto if it were going to make them more money.

Now we all know that the D1-D2 deal will not happen, if there is a push double elimination is possible, and of course its about the Benjamins. The Ag Park is a free facility, compared to having to dish out money in Chatttown. They might even let us bring food into the arena again. We can see how big a deal wrestling is in Middle Tennessee. The announcement was on the back page of the Tennessean sports in the little sports digest section. If you don't look at the whole paper, you would probably miss it.

    • I think Alcoa and Westview are favorites in top bracket and Huntingdon and Meigs in bottom bracket.  Westview and Huntingdon both have great pitching.  I think Huntingdon has more offense than Westview.
    • Starting to pick up for Sam. He has 4 or 5 offers now and more on the way. By mid season the Warriors should have 5 or 6 kids with offers.
    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
