34SL
Adam and his brother Justin were killed in a head on collision yesterday. Justin was driving and there were two other passengers in the vehicle with him. Caleb Rozet, a wide receiver in football #80 and basketball #40 was lifeflighted along with another senior Chris Rippy. The boys were all going to graduate tonight except for Justin, he was 21. I knew Adam really well and was excited because the St. Louis Cardinals had just recently contacted him about pitching. The student body at Stewart County is very upset and many just do not know what to say. All of the seniors are upset tonight instead of being happy and it is going to be a very sad night at SCHS. Adam was expected to be the ace at Columbia St. and get drafted by the Breweres after next year. He had interest from other teams but his grades were not good enough. Adam had just rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in the past couple of weeks. Caleb plans on walking on at APSU to play football. Rozet and Rippy are both doing well and will make it. Caleb and Chris are both very strong christians.

We just went through the same situation a couple of weeks ago with a student who just turned 17 a day before he was killed in an auto accident, and I know it is really a tough time. May there be some comfort in the fact that Adam had just rededicated his life to Jesus Christ, I am so glad to hear that. I know that this happens way too often and my prayer is that others will see the dangers in driving and be a little more cautious!
ksgovols
Thank you for the updates 34SL. Such a sad, sad day for Stewart County and all of 11AA. I'm sure commencement ceremonies will be very emotional tonight.
