Can Alcoa beat Maryville?

After watching Alcoa tonight I would say this game will be very interesting. Alcoa looks to be very physical and in excellent condition. We all know Maryville will be the same but this year we will be able to be just as physical. This will be a war on Friday.

Seems like we have a few Alcoa fans warming up the excuses a little prematurely this year . I promise you guys , If Alcoa does win , I won't be on this board whining about a referee 25 years from now .... too funny .

Maryville is not in any of the kids heads that will play. The Tornadoes know that they have a great chance to win. I think its more of a when things go bad, the mood on the sidelines(by the younger players) drops. Depth on the lines has also been an issue in the past. I think Alcoa can go 3 deep at every spot on the line and not have a big drop off. The Alcoa passing attack will be just fine, the new kids are starting to get comfortable with the offense and developing good chemistry. Nobody doubts the rushing game in the Aluminum city.

Maryville lost a lot last year but quarles always finds a way to develop players. Alcoa will have to get pressure on maryvill's qb and stop the run to win. Looking forward to the game.

 

Your post leaves doubt in your mind. That is why Maryville will win. Alcoa people always have that little bit of doubt in the back of their mind.

Alcoa did not even get a god warm-up for next week. They should have stayed home and scrimged intra-squad. I look foward to Friday, should be fun.

I think that Alcoa can do it this year. They've been good with young players the past couple of years and now those young players are veterans. I hope they can pull it out this year. I know that im looking forward to going up there next week.
