Rams 28 Owls 21 Im for anybody playing against Benny-ball or in this case Owls. Mark my words if the tallent starts to drop off- Benny will be gone. His coaching record is excellent, but playing thugs has a record to check his former players arrest records. Part of being a good high school coach should include making better young men for our community!

We here to talk football not bash people and or communities. Grow up and keep your degrading comments to yourself. If you are that full of hate in the long run it will only hurt yourself and the one close to you. Positive thinking breeds positive results. (Buy the book THE SECRET) I truly hope you find peace in your life. Go Owl's!

Does Tyner have any1 who can come close to blocking or slowing down Jacques Smith?

I hope they have trouble blocking the other 10 outstanding Owls too. :roflol:

Mr. Smith is a humble outstanding athlete and if he remembers the road he has traveled to get where he is today he will be Great in all his ventures in life here on after. Stay Humble, strong, positive, and lead by example. The Owls will have 60 leaders on and off the field because those who choose to sweat, bleed, and shed a tear together, they are the ones who make the difference on the field and off. Now lets go knock some heads. Go Owl's

What time is kickoff?

Here is the writeup from the paper....

Ooltewah Owls at Tyner Rams

Tonight, 7:30

Last meeting: Ooltewah won 37-18 in the 1994 season opener.

Why you should go: Traditionally two of the best collections of athletes in the city. With this much speed on both sides, long runs and big hits are certain.

Players to watch: Any local list of players to watch begins with Ooltewah defensive end Jacques Smith, a University of Tennessee commitment. Fellow defensive lineman Brandon Burrell is ready for a breakout season. Owls quarterback Brady Reed is a three-year starter and seems to have a better grasp of the offense, as well as plenty of talented receivers including Darren Delaney. Tyner junior defensive back Travis Jones is already a top college prospect.

Key question: Sustained drives against Ooltewah's defense, which returns six starters, aren't likely. Can the Rams hit enough big plays to match the Owls' quick-score offense?
