TrackRunner4291
Predictions? MBA barely beat Maplewood in the 4th quarter tonight. Ensworth had a big win over Oakland last week.
oldgoldandorange91
This game is quickly becoming the biggest of the year, and the rivalry is so big you can taste it. Ensworth will have had 2 weeks to prepare, and MBA is coming off an extremely emotional win, giving them extreme confidence. Darkwa is good, but what killed MBA last year was Jefferson, who was much more elusive in the middle of the field. Lassing looked incredible tonight, and I dont know if Ensworth can stop him, but MBAs D-Line only looked good in the last half of the 4th quarter. This will be, without a doubt, a great game, and right now I dont think anyone can call it.
Deepsouth
The game will be close since EHS took our coaches...but MBA pulles it out in OT 26-24!!!
c0l7hy
The reason it will be close is because EHS "took" your coaches?
Deepsouth
Just messin around...u need to have some humor son. But where did Ricky, Hiett, Caudill, and Baten all coach before EHS? I'm just wondering.
KWoodroof
Tough call. If i had to bet the pension, I'm afraid I have to go with Ensworth. Both teams are coming off a very rough and emotional win, but Ensworth's was 13 days before this one. MBA will have that working against them, and they're a bit banged up. Maplewood was a large, fast, and lean team, and they hit well. At least one MBA injury looked bad. Still, if the last 5 minutes of last night's game is an indication, as it has been for 110 years, it's a bad idea to count MBA out. This will be the first game I've seen on the MBA campus in probably 20 years, so I'm really looking forward to it. As to Ensworth taking coaches, Ricky pointed out that it was an awfully difficult decision, but probably the biggest factor was being at a school where all of his kids could attend. For a man who spends so much time on other people's children, the chance to squeeze in a little more with his own is hard to criticize. I hated to see him go, but you have to wish him well, this weekend's festivities excepted.
shakinthefat
The hardest part of the game will be the officials keeping Ensworth from having 12 men on the field. Ricky's coaching box is 15 yds onto the playing field. So much for the TSSAA coaching box that Ricky seems never to adhere to and the officials never enforce. Kicking game advantage MBA. Running game advantage EHS. Passing game even. EHS 27 (with Orleans) MBA 17 MBA 17 EHS 0 (without Orleans)

I remember in one of our games, he calmly walked to MIDFIELD to have a little chat with the refs. Hilarious. I think the refs were so shocked that he did it, they didn't think to penalize him. To be fair, the refs never enforce this rule. Both coaches in the MBA-Maplewood game were way out on the field several times last night. I can't say I blame them, though. Worst officiating crew ever. If I'm not mistaken Tollison(QB) had more passing yards against Oakland than Orleans had running yards. Pretty rare. But to be fair Oakland's D-line is veryy good. They also have Cooper(TE) who has already verbally committed to clemson. I think that Ensworth will go to the air more often than most people will expect. That is if they even need to. Im not saying that MBA will lose, but i think that they will have a lot of trouble with Bowers' offense. How about the defense for both sides? MBARED
What an emotional game last night. Only to be followed up by the Ensworth game. Should be a tremendous game as well. MBA will pull this one out (going with my heart) by a touchdown.
