Grunt,

How'd practice go yesterday? Were you able to make it out?

Intense. Hitting some licks. Pads popping. LOL Still got several walking wounded though.

I stayed from a bit after 3 til around 5:30. Doing mostly drills then. Hadn't started running

plays, etc. when I left. Think they'll have some of the kinks out by Fri. nite. The Creekbank

will not be a friendly place after Sat. nite. :thumb:

BTW, enjoyed the description of the Alcoa/Maryville game. That atmosphere has to be awesome.

See ya..

Guys I feel like I've seen this before. Thinking like in '97 and '98. Went 15-0 in '97 and '08 and in '98 went 14-1. '09 could very well turn out to be this way. I agree tho that the TC seniors need to step up and take charge. Some still seem to be dazzled by the shiny gold ball they won last year. As for this week JC better watch out. The Jackets have been stirred up and are POed now. The creekbank will be buzzing. TC 56 JC 6

This will be a good measuring stick for the JC football program when they invade the Creekbank in Harstville friday night. The "Bank" is one of the hardest places for the visitors to come out alive much less come away with a win. Good luck to the Blue Devils. Anxious to see how the Devils respond in an hostile enviroment with such a historic football tradition.

The road doesn't get any easier for the Blue Devils after they play TC. They host Friendship, @ Gordonsville and then host Monterey and Clay Co. Take one at a time and if every man whips the man across from him every play, good things will happen. :thumb:

It will be a good measure of where the Blue Devils are, as well as if the Jackets can get back to form.

TC still has a half dozen or so walking wounded that may or may not play, and won't like be at 100%

if they do.

Still, as you say, the Creekbank is still the Creekbank.

JC has a tough schedule ahead. TC, G'ville, FCS, will push their new found fame to the limit. Having

the B'ball players on the roster should help, with their athletes.

Good luck to the Jackets...let's keep both teams injury free. Enough already. LOL

First home game of the season for the Jackets of TC. Let's get it rocking!!

SEVEN, BCB~MVP..you gonna make the game?

IT'S FOOTBALL TIME IN TROUSDALE CO!!!!!!!!!!! B)B)

Thanks, Tom. Same to the Pirates, of course. Certainly hope to see you there. That would be neat

to have SP & TC in Cookeville in back to back games. Gonna have to tighten up for the Jackets. They

can do it, but will take a major effort & get rid of all these injuries. But, we've been down this road

before. Just sit back & see what happens.

I definately know what you mean on the injuries...we just lost a starting linebacker with a torn ACL and MCL suffered during the first game last week.

Thanks, OP., same to the Pirates. I was just on your thread a minute ago. LOL

Yeah, injuries are wearing us out right now. Healing up though. Just gonna take a while. If we

can get a grip on this thing., we''ll be ok. Dang, every year, same story, early season injuries.

Grunt, This Old Pirate is skirting around them Jasper folkes desire to properly ID OP. Recon life could become very short ifin theys ever git it right. :popcorneater: Dad burnit them folkes are too skeerd to post, Purt near sure most are incognito but the message is ther.

Those jackets will be jest fine, OP is sure theys got enuff stingers to do enough damage to cripple most teams. :roflol: Still working on that visit....to the Creekbank. Recon OP would look good wearing one of them Jacket caps?
