Season is over, can we stop bashing the coach now? Do people come to your place of work (assuming that you hold a job) and repeatedly make comments on your character? Everyone was happy to jump on the Slatten bandwagon and sing his praises when cully was winning. I guess great coaching is all subjective to the arrogant person who played back in junior high and feel like they are a "super star know it all" We all in society are trying to make a living and anyone that works with teenagers in this day and age should be commended. Anyone speaking in ill will otherwise is very immature and classless. I just have to say Cully - you played your hearts out this season and I know "coach" has enjoyed working with you all.

I was told the fight happened Friday. Either way he needs to straighten up and act right. Being *accused of stealing (not saying he did, not saying he didn't) and getting into fights is no way to represent your school, especially in the spot light like he is.

 

The kid's a freshman cullypride. I sure as heck wouldn't want that spotlight glare shining on what I did as a feshman! Cut him some slack!

 

He may be a freshman but I know some 4 year olds that know better than to steal and get in fights. Stop defending this kid and help him get his stuff straight so all that talent doesn't go to waste.

Can't win? I guess winning runner-up in district is not winning. Last I checked they all live in zone, including the twins and Demario who live less then 4 minutes from the school when they aren't playing for MTSU or Vol State respectively. Don't talk to me about integrity when this kid is stealing and getting in fights. Honestly, he should have missed the district and region tournaments for his actions. I can promise if he played for "Brucey" he wouldn't have been anywhere close to the floor.

We have to hold our children accountable at all ages, not wait until they are pre-teens. By the time they are that old most of the damage is hard to undo. Im not saying anything about any paticular kid, but some kids have no accountability at home and when the schools allow them to "get away" with things too---we are just setting up the child for a tough road ahead.
