Blackman vs Oakland @ The Inferno Game 8

Both defenses appear very solid. Both offenses can run hot and cold. Both teams have experienced coaches who have both won gold balls, and won BIG games under pressure. Great athletes for both teams. I think this game is going to come down to special teams. How is Blackman's kicker? Hornsby won a couple of games at the last second last yr under intense pressure and on the road. I think he is very very consistent and I think this may be where we edge Blackman out.

Defensive battle for sure...oakland is big, and tough and probably mad after two overtime losses...blackman believes they can win and their D is big and fast...should be a low scoring, hard hitting, who makes the least mistakes kind of game...

 

Hornsby is a very good kicker and has a great Dad to boot...but Mr. Puhr for the blaze is a future D1 kicker and is only a junior...he is a perfect 6 for 6 this year on field goals and kicked a 42 yarder last week with at least 10 yards to spare...go to www.storkmontgomery.com for the siegel vs blackman highlights to see it in slow motion ...and is a great punter too!

 

if oakland passes effectively...it will make it harder to beat them...if they run, run, run...it will hurt their chances...

Ok, time for a reality check....Blackman has not played a team yet with a winning record. Last weeks game against siegel wasn't a siegel fluk. It was Blackman finally playing a team that was an equal to them. Sorry to burst your bubble Blackman , but I see this one getting ugly. Oakland 33 Blackman 10. This will only make this crazy in the region with Riverdale, Oakland and Blackman setting things up for the BIG final week......

I'm sorry but no one from R'dale can say anything on here about not playing a team with a winning record, example: Hendersonville (you lost)...... ummm last time I checked they do NOT have a winning record... secondly we played Smyrna they never scored on us, just a safety (that we gave them) and R'dale ALMOST got beat by them!!!! Lastly, when we traveled to the "PIT" we won 52-0 and I believe (correct if I am wrong) Lincoln Co. scored on YOU..... So before you go tooting your horn about how Blackman hasn't played any good teams OR haven't played a team with a winning record maybe you should look at who Blackman and Riverdale have played and who scored what on who..... Just a thought....

I think this will be a great game. A weeks rest does everyone good as far as getting injuries healed up. Both of these coaches will have their teams ready to go. This one like all the other games in this region will be a close hard fought game.
