I know times are tough but i think if a school cant even put up some dang bleachers for people to sit on the price of admission should be half price. It should be mandatory that schools put equal seats on both sides of the field in my opinion. If the people who run the program at pickett co dont have any pride then how do they expect the team to have any ? The only thing that will keep the jackets under 60 is if hurricane gussy blows through.

That's funny. For years I sat in the excuse for bleachers Gordonsville had on their visiting side and now the're making suggestions for TSSAA bleacher rules.

Good Luck to the Jackets. Your gonna need it, not in the game of course, but with the field up there. It's horrible. I feel bad for Coach Creasy having to take a championship caliber team up there and having to play. Not that they are "to good" to play there, but folks lets face it, that field is ludicrous. Drive up and see if you don't believe me. I'm not neccessarily knocking Pickett because they are playing at the only facility that is available to them, but it is not a decent field in any stretch of the imagination. I heard that TC offered PC a couple of thousand bucks to just come to The Creekbank, but they wouldn't take it???? I doubt they get that in two home games much less one that is gonna be in the rain.

 

I also heard they were offered some amount of money to play at the Creekbank. No idea of

the amount. To turn this down is ridiculous. The gate would be many times what it will be

tonite, with the driving distance, severe weather possible, poor field, seating capacity, you

name it! Surely it couldn't be due to pride..it doesn't show, apparently in the facilities.

A few years ago, TC paid RBS to come to the Creekbank. They did & both profited from it.

It would also have been better to have played last nite or Sat. nite, but not happening either.

Perhaps Pickett believes they can pull off an upset during a hurricane!

Creasy said the boys did so good against FC. They didn't do much contact this week in practice. He said they mainly hit the weights and run, watched film. He said the did alot of "cerebral" work this week. He said TC tried to help PC out by offering them a "nice" cash offer to move the game to TC. He said he felt like it would help there program by giving them the cash. (like spend it on the facilities). He shoulda told the Coach...look take the cash, come to our place, and we'll only put 40 on ya. Or have it at your place and we'll hang a hundred on ya.
