Coach McMillan is a genius coach and so far ahead of me its sad, but the only problem i'm seeing is I would hate to have to figure out how to get all these girls enough playing time to keep em all happy! What, thats like 10 signees for the 2010 class that are all All State caliber players? They better really buy in to the system or be naturally very unselfish. UTM definately got the best man for the job and its showing. Like I said, I know a Coach over at Union U that must be stocking up on Pepto or something. LOL

Coach McMillan is doing everything that is needed to be done to build that program into a OVC title contender. Remember these are HIS girls that he's bringing into HIS system. In 3-4 years, we could see Coach McMillan and UTM contending for an OVC championship and possibly playing in the NCAA tournament!

As for the coach at Union Univ.... I don't think he's stocking up on pepto just yet. He took his Union girls to play against Vanderbilt tonight in Nashville. Vandy won the game 69-48. HOWEVER, Union was leading in the game at one point by the score of 23-10 and they were leading at the half 30-27.

As long as Campbell has that pipeline coming from Kenya bringing the 6'3 girls to UU he won't be needing the pepto. The guards who can shoot the lights out just won't come as easy as they did when Tansil-Gentry was there.

Congrats to Aubrey, Kevin, and UTM girls program. Another top notch recruit who is going to put em on the map.

McMillan is doing what has needed to be done at UTM for a long, long time. He's smart for doing it. Give him a few years, and he will have UTM winning a lot of games, and having good crowds. This makes me want to attend some games this year myself, and I have not attended a UTM woman's game in....well, I cant remember the last time I went.

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
