Oakland, THIS is your time! Have fun tonight . We can go on the road and win. We all know this. Keep focused and listen to your coaches. Stay relaxed and enjoy your moment. We can do great things.
If you all do win I will congratulate but if you all lose this game you better believe you all will hear about it. I wouldn't love anything better to bust yalls "we are above everybody" attitude. Go BEARS! Stick with your gameplan, no turnovers, and we will win this game.

 

We just have complete faith in our young men to listen to their Coaches and execute their game plan that will lead to a victory. If you want to mistake that for being cocky or arrogant, by all means, go ahead. But Football in 7-AAA and in Rutherford Co. in general is just a completely different monster.

That said, I really love this matchup, if nothing else, for the coaching aspect. Thomas McDaniel maybe young for a head coach, but he is just as old school as anyone in the state. Oakland's offense faced the same criticism last year, manned up and won state. I look forward to our defense facing a very staunch challenge in the Mt. Juliet defense.

While their offense isn't flashy oakland's offense does EXACTLY what it is supposed to do. They pound the ball eat clock and capitalize on field position. Oakland's offense does what it needs to do they let the D get thier rest. When you are a team that puts your studs on D and expects to win with D that's all you need from your offense pound the ball eat clock capitalize on opportunities.

 

Now with that off my chest and capitalizing on opportunities being out there MJ doesn't give Oakland's O the short field and MJ wins it with Emmetts knocking home the game winner. 10-7 GOLDEN BEARS!!

i see no way this one does not go to the Pat's in a very one sided game...

7AAA football is just different...got to see it each week to believe it...

Blackman continually beat playoff teams the last two years out of region/district play...but could not get in because of the strength of the now 7AAA district...

my gut says...28-7...and pull the dogs off most of the second half!

M.J. might have a good offensive scheme...but the jimmy and joes on Oakland really don't care...they just line up and open a can on their opponent...

Is oakland beatable...yes

Will it happen...very unlikely

especially the way they are playing the last 3 or 4 games...

      From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated

      Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
