What is up with people in the higher elevations around here? Have they all lost there minds? Just when you think you have gotten your anoying team(York) out of the way for the year you run into the Stone fans. There is no way that a team with a 3-7 record should ever make the playoffs! If they won the State Title they would have only a 8-7 record its patethic that teams like this beat out teams that had winning records (Clay Co. and yes i know that Clay is not a 4A team). But we will take what we got. It sure beats who LA or Stone will have to face next week. Go Wildcats!

I agree a 3-7 team should not be in the playoffs. That is the way it is, just as it was in 2005 when LA was 5-5 and made it into the playoffs. Probably many did not think they should have been in that year.

There's a couple of big differences why LA's 5 and 5 was deserving. First off they finished 4th in their Region making them eligible because the top 4 teams go to the play-offs. Second LA played the toughest schedule for 4 straight yrs in the entire state and all classifications. And both of those are facts.

 

Not knocking this yrs LA team but they played the 101st hardest schedule in 2a out of 104. And made the play-offs which is great. And if this yrs team wins the Gold like the 05 team did they will both be considered State Champions.

 

Good luck to the Cats tonight especially the Srs. This could be the last time you ever put on the UNIFORM. Give it your all and leave it on the field. I have all the confidence in the world that you guys will advance on, BUT you still have to go out and prove it all over again.
