We looked dead all game, coaches did'nt or couldn't get them fired up and ready to play. Also I think at times we didn't put best product on field or base runners. I think Harpeth has a great future with our young guys, but we need more J V games for then to work bugs out.Team needs a leader to step up NOW to keep them in the game. Work hard and GO BIG BLUE!!

Yeah, I know coach. It's just tough on our home crowd getting off work to make it to the 3:00 games and then trying to get help working the later games. No worries. It's a fun tournament.

It appears that the frustrations are building for the Big Blue.

 

Harpeth boys need to work in the off time because playing this type of game schedule is tough and the desire to take time off increases. It's what you do when you're not playing baseball that makes a difference on game day.

 

The ENTIRE team needs to be worked and more attention needs to be given to our JV guys sitting idle in the dugout. We need to be productive with available time, even if it means doing something during game time. Idle hands rule applies here. I'm seeing too much time sitting around doing nothing. It's hard to just walk up and hit when you haven't swung a bat in weeks. A few swings per game or in a pre-game batting hit around doesn't amount to anything really productive.

 

If your a player who's not working when you're not playing... you're not going to get better... end of story. A tee and net are great tools for keeping a batter's eye and a solid swing. It's a simple solution to a busy schedule. Let's use easy tools!

 

Keep your heads up guys... but don't make excuses. Coaches don't make choices for you when you're not on the field... you do. Expect nothing when you do nothing!

 

Let's hope that the boys can recover tomorrow and get back on the winning patch.
