WOW. 17 pts or more.............. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I would think it would be closer than that, but oh well, its only opinions right?

I guess we will see on Friday night....... I hope the football team is looking forward to Alcoa or CAK as much as the fans are.

Sorry, but that's not the case. Just like it was said earlier, Polk has scrimmaged Loudon this year and respects them. Just because we have some overly-confident fans, doesn't mean that's how the team thinks. I can tell you it will be closer than 17 points. Anybody that knows football should know it will be a close game.

Agreed Polk, I think it will be a tough, tough contest. My son, he has played against these boys from Polk for 12yrs now and we have the utmost respect for Polk County, they have always been physical and hard nosed. Polk has always been a top notch program both on and off the field. Heres hoping for a fine, injury free ballgame for both sides Friday night. "What a Quad we got put into''. I wish we could have went to the middle......

This will be a good one.Too bad we couldn't go thru CAK and then Alcoa.I haven't seen either of those teams, just the hype about Alcoa. Proof is in the stats tho. Would like to see the 'Cats play there. :hungry: One at a time tho,,one at a time.

Two things: First,I wouldn't think an SRO should even be on the field unless the officials asked for their help.Sounds like somebody over stepping their bounds.

Second:It is not hype about Alcoa.

Agreed about Alcoa.........Its not just hype.... You can disect it any way you want to. But they have 5 straight championships, undefeated this year. Athletes everywhere and very, very physical.. they know how to win,no way is it just hype...

I do hope we(Loudon) get the chance to play them again though......

It's sad for our quad to be so loaded with good teams, and them having to play each other early rather than in the semi's or even the championship game, but that's just the way it goes I guess. All you can do is just put your nose to the grind-stone and play hard to win. Good luck to both teams injury wise; hope the Wildcats come out and play hard the way they have all year :roflol::hungry:

Yeah, whoever is wishing for Alcoa is nuts, I would wish for them in the state championship - this way I could say WE were the state runner up.

I think what DmacDaddy was meaning was that he would like to see how well we stacked up with the best team in the state. Alcoa IS the best team in the state but I don't foresee anyone in red (Loudon or Polk) preparing to get on their knees and pay homage to them next week. Whether you lose 3rd round or championship game second place is just first loser.

I do not want anyone to misunderstand my view. I have much respect for Polk and Loudon. Matter of fact this is the game I hope to come and watch. I have been upset that these teams are all in the same quad. I would love to see the TSSAA figure a better way to seed the teams so better teams do not meet up so early. I think these are two quality teams with great tradition. I can't wait to see this game. Loudon has played Alcoa and they know what I am talking about, and you are right anything can happen in the playoffs and I don't mean to write off anyone. I just know if anyone does beat Alcoa, they better not lose the State Championship!!!!!!!!! Personally I do not see it happening.
