A question for all yall around middle tn. Why so long and why looking to these parts (west tn) for your next coach? Thought yalls football was different level aka better than west tn. Think we proved we could play with the big boys of mid and east tn this year.

Think seriously about it, if you were a coach would you be ready to rush into one of the toughest districts in the state week in and out. Year after year Rutherford County could easily have 4 teams in the playoffs. These are the same teams you would have to face week after week. For out of district games you have to close by teams of Williamson and Sumner counties and some of the best of Divison 2 teams like MBA, BA, and Ensworth.

 

This is why Mr Nolan is taking his time and trying to get the BEST he can so Siegel can FINALLY be the tough team they can be.

It would be a good time for him to try his hand at the 6-A level in Rutherford County. He has proven he can get the job done in 5-A. Actually makes some sense. He does a great job preparing the kids to play.

that makes no sense - why did rankin leave riverdale to go to alcoa - just b/c the enrollment is bigger does not always mean its better football - plus crabtrees team is stacked for a repeat-

lassister is in 5a why does he not jump to 6a

Don't know if the selection is a done deal already or not. But I'll throw out there that I heard during the BC bowl that Coach Joslin was down there a few weeks ago talking to Siegel.

 

A big factor in him going anywhere though is that his wife is a principal in the Putnam Co. system and doesn't want to leave.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
