We may fight like cats and dogs during the season but I like them to do well during playoffs or tournaments.

Good job YAI. I saw the game and was very impressed by the dragons. Smith County got taken out to the woodshed. They were outplayed in all phases of the game, The Dragons should have scored two more times. York's QB had an excellent night, He never got hit...... He was the one delivering the blows. I was suprised to see the owls shy away from contact. They looked really "soft". The owls were out coached, outplayed, and outhit. The indoor practice facility could be the problem. The elements are a big part of football. Also, maybe too many coaches. How does Maynard keep up with all of them. They had at least 15 coaches there tonight. York's field was in great shape and the popcorn was great. Can not wait to read the excuses from the smith county fans. Hope they didn't get behind any horse and buggies on their ride home.It had to be a really long ride regardless. Good luck to the Owls and Dragons in the playoffs. Good job 72/52, you are the main reason you guys won 7 games. You held the program together when it could have fallen apart. 5 shutouts, awesome!!!!!!

Way to go Dragons! Smith Co. looked the weakest of all the district teams except for Upperman. They had one good play all night...a great 50 year run. But, they never threatened to score all night or even came anywhere close. Where were all these Smith Co. fans? Of the 12 bleacher sets provided, the ones across the field were only 2/3rds full...200 people at most, and maybe 20 people in the other set of 5 stands. Like I said in an earlier post, York has more stadium seats than Smith Co. fans to fill them. It was clear York was fired up before the game started and then scored on their 1st possession going right down the field.

As for being "mad" about the Amish comments...no, I knew it was just humor, but being a former teacher I don't like to see that kind of thing. It was acceptable at one time to do that about blacks too and few would do that now. And by the way, the Mennonites do use technology such as cell phones and computers. I was surprised a few years ago to see many cell phones at a Mennonite auction and I didn't have one yet...less tech savvy than the Mennonites.

Didn't Coach Brown say something about taking SC behind the woodshed? I seem to recall reading that in the Herald-Citizen.

I really do not want to be miss qouted by two post being put together. Here is what I said.

Okay we get it....Smith County isn't the same team that we met in the regular season, but YORK isn't either. Our boys have stepped up and played with a fire and determination that they didn't have in that regular season game. ALL of our backs are running hard, our receivers are catching the ball, our speed is there, our line is doing it's job, and finally the coaching staff has decided to use the entire team to our advantage.

Soooooo....I will not lower myself to arguing with no name posters on CoachT, but I want you to know that YAI is coming to the "HOLE" and y'all better be ready. We played a heck of a Goodpasture team last Fridaythat saw things they didn't expect, and I assure SC they will too.

Good Luck to all on Friday! Safe travel for the YORK fans! A GREAT game with no injuries!

I can only speak for myself, but no one that I talk to thinks that York will handle SC like we did up here 3 weeks ago. Both teams are playing well. I expect a hard hitting football game. People can say what they want about each other's opponents, but you still have to play hard to win in the playoffs. There is no way either of the head coaches are going to allow their players look past this game. There is nothing that can be said on here that would make me believe one team is better than the other. It doesn't matter about the previuous game or the previous 10 for that matter. It is all on the line on Friday night. The team the executes, makes the fewest mistakes, or any number of clichés, puts themselves in a better position to win. This one probably goes down to the wire. Given the history between the 2 teams this may be the best game to watch in TN this week.

GO Dragons!

This one will be one of the hardest hitting games "The Hole" has seen in a good long while. Everything is on the line and these two institutions really don't care for each other. As far as comparing season opponents to determine who wins this game, you can through that at the window right now. None of that matters. Nada. Smith Co seems to have the upper hand with the homefield advantage, and I expect a huge crowd in attendance, possibly approaching record-breaking for "the hole." York has prevailed the past four times these team have tangled and I fully expect that Maynard has drilled that into the heads of the Owls this week. To sum it up, SC know who York is, Owls have seen York's hand. However, the Dragons have not see nwhat Owls really possess. Will it be a repeat of the result in horse and buggy land or will the Owls prove they were were bluffing in the first match-up? Let's hope it's in the cards for the Owls friday night! SC 20 York 13 Go Owls!

sc is saying it will be hard for YORK to because its at the hole o, but I tell you YORK will win cause of the fans. The YORK FANS will make our boys feel like its a home game just like they did at goodpasture. It will be a hard fought game but those DRAGONS will previel. These last two games has brought them together even more. they are eleven men playing as one.Its like watching a fine oiled machine working. Its not just pending on one player they use all eleven men and the side line stays up.

Hello my fellow friends from Smith County........ I haven't posted near as much as I would have liked to this year. I was at the Livingston/Smith County game earlier this year and I saw Carthage play about the same way that they did in the York game. I just can't believe that all of you guys believe that you are going to beat a team that held you to 126 yards of total offense and that you didn't even score against or really even come close.I know both teams are going to play hard at least I hope we show up to play after the way we played at Goodpasture. York was a complete team last week. I just wish we would have run the ball better. The only thing I'm worried about is a let down after a big game it happened to us 2 years ago in this same situation I just hope it doesn't happen again. Yes, I understand that you guys didn't have anything to play for but neither did york no better than a 5th place finish they couldn't better themselves but they controlled the game. I understand that you guys are pulling for your team as I am mine. I just wouldn't be as fast to say that we are going to beat a team that just beat us 3 weeks ago 28-0 when neither team had anything to play for. Honestly, I cannot say who is going to win this game. I bet it's going to be a great game though. I just hope the boys on the mountain are having a good week of practice and they are taking this game very seriously. As a former player I hope you guys take this week very, very, seriously.COME ON DRAGONS LETS! GO !!!!!! LETS GO!!!!!!!!! LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got to play better than we did at GOODPASTURE REMEMBER THE FEELING AFTER THE GOODPASTURE GAME.................... LETS GO NOW BIG DRAGONS 3 DAYS TO GO................. :thumb:
