cbg
By not placing all of the TSSAA championship football games on television shows just how much the D2 schools have been discriminated against since the split. When are the D2 schools going to understand that the TSSAA & it's member schools only want their money? The best thing for all private schools to do is form their own association. What you guys don't understand is that the NFHS only recognizes 1 association per state. If the private schools form their own association they wouldn't be able to play anyone in the TSSAA unless they were granted permission by the TSSAA. They would have to play all games against each other or out of state.

big red big blue
By not placing all of the TSSAA championship football games on television shows just how much the D2 schools have been discriminated against since the split. When are the D2 schools going to understand that the TSSAA & it's member schools only want their money? The best thing for all private schools to do is form their own association. that's not the problem. If they are offering it on the website for free, that solves the problem. The problem is that every time there is a "short straw" on game time/day, we end up with it. We get stuck playing on Tuesday and Thursday; the D1 teams do not. What needs to happen is for the D2 teams to be given responsibility for staging their own title game, rather than us getting lumped in with D1 and what serves their interests best. It makes no sense for us to be playing in Cookeville on Thursday night. It makes no sense for us to have an open date in the middle of the play-offs, just so that we can get "in sync" with the D1 schedule. What we should be doing is playing Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend in Nashville at Vanderbilt. Or Chattanooga. Even Memphis....but IN A D2 TOWN!!! Everyone wins that way, including the TSSAA. There will be no walk-up crowd in Cookeville as anyone with a functioning brain understands. There WOULD be a walk-up crowd for this game in Nashville. Thursday/Cookeville guarantees an absolute flop which ultimately will be spun against us.
