Here are my predictions for the dual that will be held January 29th at 6:00 on the McCallie Campus.

 

103- Alex Elsea fall Nick Standefer

Based on results from this weekend it appears that, even without Stavrum and Pinkstaff, at least on paper, Baylor remains in the driver's seat in this dual. It will be interesting to see if the EBE will try to juggle some weights in an effort for a net positive result. Are there options around 140?

 

With no juggling involved, 140 would be a rematch of yesterday's Semifinal matchup between Stuart Doster (Bay) and Michael Hooker (McC). Always a fun matchup to watch. I don't remember many Baylor vs. McCallie battles where coach Connell DIDN'T juggle the lineup in order to finesse the results, but I'd be willing to bet there are some great matchups regardless. That gym ought to be packed like a can of sardines.

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
