bigmoney128
Congrats on a great win tonight over Cookeville 48-44. Coach Muckle is doing a great job and the girls are starting to play the way they should. Awesome. Just a few weeks Cookeville beat Coffee County 50-14. Keep up the hard work. You are getting hot at the right time of year.
PHargis
BM, yes, you beat a VERY GOOD team. One game does not make a season but I seem to remember some posts on here last year when Wingman10 and I defended a new coach who wanted another chance. I hope his mission of building a program is on schedule also. I saw the score and wondered if you would post on this. Congrats to all. bigmoney128
Definitely, one game doesnt. BUT four wins in a row for a 7 win team is a hot streak wouldnt you think? As far as young coaches go, Muckle is only new not young(LOL) but this is his second year with the program. I do think you have to give a coach at least 4 years to BUILD a program. thought it was a stunning turn around against a team that beat them by 36 just a few weeks ago. chs4life
Amazing win for the girls. Morgan has scored 97 in the 4 wins. Keep it going.

BM, your point being "New Coaches" when taking over a high school program, may need a progressive 4 years to build a program and support from a parent/fan base. With "luck" and support, some might be able to do it a little quicker.
ecu
Good to see Coach Muckle doing well. Excellent coach, not always in best situation. The four years may apply to college where you recruit but not in HS. You just better have some talent and keep it.
PEARLBALL
From what I have witnessed, Coach Muckle is still very intense, but he has exhibited a more gentle side at times and it is paying off. Four wins in a row is not something C.C. could claim very often in the past decade, no matter who the opponent. I hope Coffee County realizes what a great teacher of the game they have. With all due respect, there is a difference between intensity and arrogance. While he may know the game of basketball, that doesn't mean he can translate the information in a way to the players so they can understand it without being made to feel like idiots and like everything they ever learned about basketball in elementary and middle school is irrelevant and wrong . As for the 4 wins in a row, my opinion is that the young ladies finally quit listening (or have at least learned to tune out) the continuous screaming and shouting which destroyed their confidence and have regained their confidence from someone else. His record at CC so far is (15 -36).
PHargis
Good Post. Likely everything they did learn in elementary and Middle school was wrong and winning at a higher level whatever it is is a different technique and experience. While I am unsure, what was the record of the last number of games before he got there. Positive thoughts always win over negative perceptions. Hope CC continues to do well. crimson101
can not remember the record the previous 2 years before he got there, but it was at least 500.
