OLD PIRATE
 Share

Recommended Posts

Just a Pirate through and through. My children were Pirates and all of my family were too. Proud to be a Pirate but I will tell it like it is no matter what. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The problem is, sometimes you tell it the way you "think" it is. Ask coach-T or a mod to verify the IP where I posted this from and you will see this is posted from a computer at the University of Forte Hare in Alice, South Africa. South Pittsburg is a wonderful little town. It has always held a special place in my heart because for various reasons. There are millions of little towns around the globe. I have had the fortune to see many of them, and some I can't pronounce. However, I will always be a Pirate, Lion, Razorback and Volunteer through and through and have the documentation and references to back it up. Some of my family were Pirates. Unfortunately some were Jasper Warriors, Whitwell Tygers and even Dunlap Indians.

Why?

That's just for any doubters. Besides, it would be interesting to see the IP stat for CoachT.com on a regional national and international basis. I know there are a lot of Pirates scattered all over the globe, currently and previously.

...and I'll be on the Riviera awaiting your return. These boards are not the same without you.

We learned in '09 that exchange students can play at the host family's school. I admit I have seen some kids playing rugby around here that can kick the ball pretty good as well as run it fairly well like a half back taking the toss and have wondered how they would do as a punter, kicker and half back in our style of foot ball. :roflol:

Even I want go up there!

Dr. RLH M.D., that is a pretty agreejus spelling error for a learned Dr. M.D. such as yourself. I'm starting to see why you had to go to a third earth country like the Mother Land to practice medicine. Let me ask you a question? Were you ever licsensed here in the western himasfear? And what kind of Dr. M.D. are you? And have you ever worked on human beings or just giraffes?

Actually, it wasn't a spelling error. There were missing words. "Even I do not want to go up there." Typing too fast for this system I am on the past couple of days. It is probably the slowest system I have countered in 15 years. Lastly, I never claimed to be a physician. I am a scientist. I haven't seen any giraffes this trip. Have seen baboons in the wild, a large elephant heard, a bunch of zebras (not referees) and various antelope. I have also encountered one eastern green mamba in the wild. Most of the folks around here speak isiXhosa, pronounced "Closa." All that said, this is a forum/bulletin board and not a dissertation or journal article so I don't really give a flip if I throw a typo now and then. :roflol: Miss Metz would probably disagree and Biscuit would probably tell me to remember the Do-Right Rule. :thumb:

Let me ask you a question. Did you mean to say "encountered?" Have you encountered any black mamabas, we have those over here. Is a Green mamaba like a martian Kobe Bryant?

    • I don't know what's going on in the town of McMinnville, but I've read this and it's disturbing.  I'm a "player" person, and I want what's best for the player. If a player gets cut off the team because she said the "F word" then good grief. I mean, come on guys. I wish there was a way for the player to transfer to a different program and just play ball. There are a lot of athletes that are stuck because they're in crappy situations regarding their team/coach. This is player just happens to be one them.
    • Won't happen. College coaches will back the coach every time and it cost this young lady her senior season. Looks like the player may be right on this one. School let her  go after one season. This stuff happens more than you think.
    • “No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team.” For language? I’m not seeing that as a dealbreaker.
    • Why did the coach get rehired after she was let go as an assistant by the former Warren County coach and the current AD?? Is that accurate?? I am very familiar with situations like this. Suprised lawsuits haven't happend before. If the coach unfairly let the player go, I think she has a shot because it cost her a scholarship. No college is going to offer a scholarship to a player that is kicked off of the team. Not going to happen. There are bad hires like this a bunch and kids are treated unfairly by coaches that can't coach a lick and have super long ropes somehow. Amazing how some of these coaches get hired and keep their job.
    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
