Devils will tally some points. The question is will they score enough? Doubtful the D will hold anybody to less than 7 this season. Gville-27, JC-26.

The devils defense is great.. just havent been playing that way. I will make the prediction that 7 out of the 10 regular season teams will score 7 pts or less. Alot of speed and strength on that D. Theyll get it together once everybody is healthy and the season starts.

From what I've heard Greeneville lost to Dobyns-Bennett in a scrimmage. Now I know scrimmages usually dont keep score and coaches usually sub in younger guys in to get them some playing time, but as for the first teamers, I heard DB won. I dont kno if Greeneville participated or has participated in any pre season jamborees, if anyone knows, please I would like to know how theyve done. Jefferson County, however, played at Burke-Toney the other night in a 12 minute quarter against conference rival Cherokee and easily won 28-0. If I can remember correctly, JCHS scored on all of their possessions, and JCHS'S D was smothering. Bible looked great in his debut and DK looked too fast for the Cherokee D. The O line was really impressive and I think they are really coming along. Jeff Co is looking good but I know they have a daunting task against Greeneville. I think home field will pay dividends in this one.

Greeneville beat Grainger 14-0 in jamnoree yesterday. Greeneville cld have scored more but took a knee on the 1 yard line. Ofeensive Starters played 4 downs. in those 4 downs they scored 2 td's. 1 running and 1 passing. The outstanding Defense is doin ok. Missin some starters and shld be 100% by jc game. Greeneville is gonna be the toughest game on the patriots schedule. They are #1 in the state for a reason not to mention defending state runner ups. I believe the sour taste in their mouths and the fact that they have tons more experience will make them prevail in the end. Our qb is a stud and he will hurt ya. Spradlin will just keep runnin right at ya and find holes. Greeneville wins in the end... 28-7 Go Devils!!!

What do you not get about it was a tie. 3 touchdowns to 3 touchdowns for the starters. And greeneville beat grainger county 14-0 in there jamboree.

It must say a lot about fan expectations a when Devil fan worries because Grainger was "driving up the middle" some on their way to 14-0 loss and a Patriot fan is confident of victory after spanking CHEROKEE because "DK looked too fast for the Cherokee D".

I think the fair assumption is the speed of JC will be a great first test of the seasoned Devil D. HOWEVER, 13, this is NOT Cherokee. Gonna take a lot of smotherin' to stop Spradlin. and if the Patriot D keys on him Willy C will burn them deep. The Devil D will have to have a sorry day indeed if they give up 20 pts...

So you make a prediction based on what? A scrimmage in 100 degree heat? A jamboree?

Yes Barb, I made a prediction based on a "scrimmage in 100 degree heat and a jamboree". Let me see? Oh yeah. I made that prediction also based on my First Amendment rights. That would be the same rights that give you the privilege to sit in your kitchen over on Main St and post all your ridiculous, curt remarks. Why don't you stop acting like you KNOW so much? Give us some information you have first hand knowledge of, not just something you have read or one of your trusted confidants has told you. Now, stay with what you're good at: Either get back in the kitchen or take a little weekend trip on your broom.

ooooohhhhh personal attacks are so much more effective if you know what you are talkin' about. First, I have an office, therefore I don't post from the kitchen.....or Main street. I don't have that kind of money. Second, I would put my money on my trusted confidants in a heartbeat....they have first hand knowledge and aren't nearly as prone to snap judgements. As far as takin' a trip....well the broom's broke but thanks for the advice.

"ridiculous, curt remarks",........ I second the motion. anyone got a third?

Yes I will go with curt as I have a tendency to be blunt but exactly what remarks were ridiculous....I would think that would imply I have made a remark that was absurd such as "Doubtful the D will hold anybody to less than 7 this season".
