Just saw this final. Any details on the game from anyone?

From the Oakland message board:

Game #1 is in the books as the Patriots exacted a little revenge tonight on Ensworth, winning 20-7. Really solid on both sides of the ball in the first half as Oakland held Ensworth to -5 yards total offense in the first half while coming up with 164 yards of total offense. The Oakland defense was aided by good special teams play and the horrific play of the Ensworth offense in the first half, who had 2 snaps sail over the Qb's head, with one almost ending up a safety.

Ensworth was able to hurt Oakland a little on the ground early, but Oakland was able to tighten up to seal the win. Offense had a few chances to put this game out of reach and wasnt able to capitalize, but also give credit to Ensworth, they fought hard to get back into the game and have a solid defense. For all talk of a balanced offense, it was once again the ground game that ruled the day. Really solid win considering it was against a solid opponent and with it being the first game of the season.............

Where is our trusty friend Rumble to brag on Ensworth's loss?

The Tennessean is saying Richardson went off with an ankle injury. When did that happen, and how much of an effect did that have?

How did the All Pre midstate QB from Ensworth perform?

I hope Ensworth plays healthy the rest of the year, if not I can see the quote from Coach Ricky....."Well, the injuries really got us this year, we can't compete at this level with sooooooo many injuries"

It's amazing no other teams in the league have injuries.

With the coaching staff at EHS they should be able to work thru injuries.

Ensworth is still very inexperienced and depth is an issue. They still have studs, but the fact of the matter is they have problems snapping the ball, the QB play is suspect, and to be honest Oakland is really good. Ensworth only dresses 45 players compared to 80-90 for some of the bigger schools. So they are playing with less players, plus they are only allowed to practice 12 hours per week per school rules. Take nothing away from Oakland, they absolutely dominated the game, and from what I heard they will be making a deep run into the playoffs. However, Ensworth does have some injuries, and it's going to take some time for Ensworth.

If the offense doesn't start clicking soon, it might be time to put Corn in the Wildcat and tell him to make plays.

Do teams these days practice more than 12 hours per week?

Assuming no practice on Fridays and Sundays and maybe a one hour run/conditioning on Saturday morning, a team could practice 2.5 hours each day Monday through Thursday and only be at 11 hours. And I can't imagine any team practicing that long on Thursday.

Obviously he didn't live up to the standards some like Rumble have preached, OR else he would have already posted bragging about where you heard Wirth Campbell's rise to stardom first.

Sorry, you can't mention the "D" word here, you get in trouble. Apparently it's viewed as a slur against the school.
