Redtwin
Well, both Rivals and Scout ranked Brunetti better than Cobb, and he plays for a much better team/program, so clearly, they are in the same league. Isn't Cobb listed as a wr anyway? Great athlete, but very mediocre passer. Edited September 8, 2010 by Redtwin

QB, kick off, WR, and Runs the wildcat(wildcobb) to perfection! Brunetti has not even got off the bench............ You DII girls really do have some gold and diamond blinders on! Like I said, Cobb's a great athlete, but he's your quintessential Jack of All Trades and King of Nothing. He boasts an impressive 51% career comletion percentage, a 5 yard per carry average, and a 10 yards per catch average. Funny, he's not even mentioned in this article about the starting qb: http://www.ukathletics.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/082310aaa.html It's also wierd how he's on the depth chart at wr: http://ukbeat.courier-journal.com/2010/08/kentucky-football-depth-chart.html But, hey, I'm the one with blinders on, so what do I know. His feelings were really hurt by not getting an interview with either BA or MBA last time around. Plus if he called BA, someone from that '95 team might answer the phone and years of therapy would go down the drain.

Classic ,you leave off the DII schools that have already lost to Alcoa! Smart!....You KNEW that would not happen. Wonder what the listed schools excuses will be? Wonder what the listed schools excuses will be? You want respect...beat (or even schedule) one of those teams, otherwise crawl back to your puny 3A league. Go tell Rankin to call...TODAY...and see what his "excuse" is.
cbg
You want respect...beat (or even schedule) one of those teams, otherwise crawl back to your puny 3A league. Go tell Rankin to call...TODAY...and see what his "excuse" is. Why would Gary Rankin want to play one of the top four D2 schools now that he is at Alcoa? Did he ever play a D2 school during the regular season when he was at Riverdale? I understand that he did play MBA a few times in a preseason game. It's really not about playing a D2 school or even playing one of the top four or five D2 schools. It's the brutal D2 league schedule that kills most of the teams due to injuries and a lack of depth. To win a D2 championship you must not only be good but you must also have some amount of luck to avoid the injury bug.

Puny little 2A/3A Alcoa.....21 Years of DII school dominance! http://www.hsfdatabase.com/tn_alcoa2000.htm 1. DII schools have to play the other "girlies" because they're league games, just like your 3A games. 2. 2-0 against McCallie and 1-1 against BA (in 41 years) is hardly "21 years of DII dominance". 3. The phone numbers are listed above - you came here to this board to laud Alcoa greatness and insult DII teams, not vice versa - if you want it so bad, push your administrators to make it happen.
