Wow, surprised by CPA's blowout of EL 72-49. Looks like the young guys are getting better each week. Over 40 of CPA's points were from Freshmen. of course, it was at home, but still a surprising score margin.

CPA-Maplewood games are starting to look like they will determine champ.

Does anyone know if there has been plans made for the snowed-out games? CPA has 4 games already they have missed.

The make up games are at MLK Thurs 27th, Pearl-Cohn home 2/5, Maplewood home 2/10

Entire schedule here http://www.cpalions.org/athletics/basketball/

Let me be head of admissions and coach a high basketball team. i do a little recruting and wax that team by 30 no problem. i just saying if you going to recruit go to DII

So the fact that none of the current players came to CPA while the coach was Director of Admissions makes your comment pretty idiotic.

No sir in the light of all circumstances yours is the idiotic one. Sounds like there are many of us not impressed how this team was put together, not for high school basketball. So I wouldn’t be expecting to many congratulatory comments. You guys over there ought to be glad not every detail is known. Until then you can crow about the wins, while the rest of us say big deal. Freshmen competing, so what? If they have the skill and physical strength to compete against the older guys that is pretty much all they need. And now with all the AAU ball played year around, starting when they are young, kids get to mature a lot faster. Course you know all about AAU over there since a big part of the team is nothing more than an adopted AAU team. But hey as long as we win, who cares, cause it is all about the W’s. Must not be too many high school basketball purists over there in your neck of the woods.

Let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

Let's not let the facts get in the way of a good story.

You certainly haven’t supplied any facts even on the threads that disappeared when it was getting hot in the kitchen. Speaking of kitchen, this must be the recipes for W’s.

Step 1 – AAU and hire the coach

Step 2 – Slide the U away and add Private lessons so it now becomes PAA (throw in some texts to give it some spice)

Step 3 – Remove an A and add “play for me for your College dream to come true†to make it CPA

Step 4 – Build the defense through our loyal customers who cry jealousy every time someone wonders about the changes made to the recipe

Step 5 – Careful when baking not to let the oven get too hot, don’t want suspicions rising too quickly (though sometimes it just can’t be helped).

Step 6 – Since it is a secret recipe, maintain secrecy and blind loyalty at all costs, no facts are necessary because there is always the mission statement to fall back on. And like all good recipes it looks real good on paper.

All jealousy, logic, ambition and motivation aside, which would you rather be a part of: CPA - the best 'locally connected money' can provide, or Greenbrier - jilted homeboys?

If CPA wants to see how good they really are, play schools...schools?, yeah, right!...teams like Oak Hill or Winter Park or some of them New Joisy preps.

Well the main reason they don't play teams like oak hill is because they will get domed. I mean lets get serious that is a different type of hoopin.(different level). Little stats just to tell people how far CPA is away from being top 100 in the country, Ensworth beat CPA by 33 and Ensworth played Christ School and lost by 34 and they are not even a national contender. So before CPA can play teams like oak hill, oak ridge, or winter park they need to focus and just winning 10AA. :popcorneater:

CPA haters get on here and post how CPA should play Oak Hill, then CPA haters post how they were beat bad by Ensworth, then CPA haters post that they should worry about winning their district before they think about playing Oak Hill type teams.

No CPA fans have posted anything about how they think CPA ia at the level of Oak Hill, or even Ensworth. We are excited about CPA's chances to possibly win the district and even competing for the state. Anything else is just outsiders stirring stuff up because they can't stand the fact that a bunch of good players have decided they would like to go to a great school like CPA and play for Coach Maddux.

Whether you are a hater, a lover, or somewhere in between, a fairer obervation would be how were those decisions made, what was truly behind them, that appears to be the real issue with people. Don't you think?

Who wouldn't want to play for maddux and CPA when they are giving "extras" to the kid's families. Come on now CPA4ever, quit acting like nothing shady is going on. This has been going on way toooooooo long
