Congrats to Maryville! :thumb:

if oak ridge could eliminate turnovers and stupid penalties this woulda been a great game, but if apples were oranges right? oak ridge for starting 8 10th graders are on there way up i think.. i was proud of the effort the guys put out.. maryville didnt have an real long extended drive the whole game, but didnt really need to... al of there drives started in oak ridge territory just about... if oak ridge can somewhat eliminate these things to a minimum, they can be a good team, until then they will continue to lose against the tope teams, that simple.

Congrats to Maryville. Hope everyone got home without any serious injury. The Oak Ridge young man that went to the hospital had a broken nose and will probably have to have surgery to fix it. Ouch. Now without turnovers and penalties we might have stayed in the game. But if frogs had wings.... Maryville played up to expectations. Good luck the rest of the season. I'll be watching for you in Cookeville!

What was the # of the Oak Ridge player that got hurt ? Hope Desmond Horne is ok , it looked like we had a few players get a little banged up , it was a tough , hard hitting game . I think Blade is a good coach and he seems to know how to cause Maryville's offense lots of problems . Oak Ridge has a great atmosphere with the train whistle and the fan support , look forward to many years of travelling up Pellisipii .

Good hard hittin' game......Mairvul jest took advantige ov tha mistaiks.....Oke Gridge plaid hard....Eye heard early werd on Dez iz thay are hopeful he'll be ok.....Starrit also got banged up.....Don't who tha Oke Gridge kid that got hert wuz.....Oke Gridge wuz brangin tha heet and if Patton got tha time he maid 'em pay.....

yeah,thanks maryville fans, i was proud of how we played... we may have lost, but yall sure knew we were there lol... #6 for oak ridge is a sophomore, and that kid can HIT... man, that hit on the kickoff was one of the hardest i have seen in awhile.. cant wait till that kid is a senior, wow... zulliger was plowing over a few maryville players too... i think maryville got a little worn down at the end to be honest.. oak ridge played tough, just made too many mistakes.. eliminate that and we will be on our way.. great effort, we coulda folded the tent when it hit 28-7, but we didnt.. hats off to maryville, great coached team AS ALWAYS.. classy program

btw, why do yall play that #7? i myself think patton is a much more polished QB... i dont understand myself, but quarles knows more than me, obviously.. just curious?

SS....#7 haiz plaid well this seesun.....And GQ always plays lots ov kids.....#6 did lay a good lick....Mairvul's freshman rb alsew laid a good lick on a tha last Mairvul TD pass.... :popcorneater:

      Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.

      Per usual, we'll be hard to beat in the regular season, I'm sure. It's the post season that I'm more worried about, specifically the coaches. Maybe they'll be able to make some adjustments that will keep the momentum in our favor. How's Grays recovery coming along?

      Something don’t add up here a college coach is not going to turn away a good player they need just because they didn’t get along with their high school coach

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
