on a side not quad 3 is TOUGH!!! my hope is if we can get to the championship game that they would have beaten each other up

i have a question after the first game who is the home team?

Higher seed if I am not mistaken until the semi finals, then even quads if the seeds are the same. Meaning under this system, if the Quad 2/3 fiasco had happened in Quad 1/3 that Oakland or Blackman would have to play AT Riverdale if they played in a Semi-Final, luckily that can't happen since it's quad 2 and 3, but that scenario could happen in Quad 1/2 or Quad 3/4 someday.

I am not going to say we have an easy Quad or anything like that but what i do like is that there is only 1 team that we have played before...and I also like that we have a home game that is way cool not sure how all this stuff happened nor do i care but I WILL TAKE IT

as far as this system or something better we had a really good system before and they changed it. while there may have been some travel for some team OVERALL it wasnt and isnt what is best for high school football in TN. whenever you dont know after a friday night win or loss if you are in or not there is something wrong with that system...people gripe and complain about the college system yet that is basically what they have gone too lets settle it on the field and take facotrs out of the equation

I'll say it for you. You have an easy quad.

I'm pretty much fully expecting a rematch of the 2009 semis in the eastern half of the state.

Its definitely Riverdale and Maryville or Riverdale and Dobyns Bennett. There is not another team in quad 2 that would have finished ahead of Siegel (which did not make the playoffs) in district 7. That includes top seed Bradley Central. Riverdale should win every game in their quad easily. Riverdale is a great team and may deserve to be there but I would like to see them earn it like everybody else, not just given to them.

First of all its obvious that to be the leader of the T$$AA doesn't require you to have the knowledge to read a freakin map.

Second, all of the people involved in making the brackets should be ashamed of themselves, and this includes the vaunted Murphy Fair.

How is their such discrepancy between Quad 2 and Quad 3. Riverdale gets rewarded for finishing 4th in the toughest region in the state. If they don't make it to the semifinals, Coach A should get fired.

Oakland is further east than Riverdale or Lincoln Co.

Why not let Smyrna go east? They won the region fair and square. Let them be rewarded and put Riverdale into the cauldron. This whole mess was Ronnie Carter's idea who promptly put it in place and then resigned. He's a joke too.

The T$$AA is an embarrasment to all who love high school sports!

the 2 'jokes' of the tssaa 6a playoff ....masterbrained idea

1. the fact that Bradley Central is a 1 seed

2. Riverdale in same bracket as 2 seed while 2 other teams from their district are seeded lower in their quad despite beating riverdale. who let this happen?

...really?

im an ooltewah guy and bradley is in our district....but

they are not a 1 seed....

the last joke of the bracket is a 1st round game between Franklin and Oakland

RANDY...I know oakland is ready to play anybody...but you all have to feel robbed with this??????

Same as last year when we 8-2 and had to go on the road to Mt. Juliet.

Here's two more jokes for you. Brentwood (district champ) opens up by going to Smyrna (district champ) No benefit for playing tough competition there. Franklin gets a higher seed. Crawford should have forfeited.

Gallatin and Hendersonville get to play each other again after playing each other last night.

It's not in 6A but there is a 4A school in west TN that won their district and got seeded #2 behind a team they had the same record as and beat by 2 touchdowns.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
