YngButNotDum
May be its time for some young coaches to step up and be given a chance. Young coaches are excitied and like to work hard wheather they are winning or losing. Some of the older coaches seem to go through the burnout stage when one season goes wrong. Besides there are alot of coaches in this state who are starting to get to KMA time and about to retire. We dont need to start a generation with a ton of young coaches at once, but yet give a few who are deserving of the opportunity to gain head coaching experience to help football keep growing in the state of tennessee. Lost Old Dad
I wonder if they go after Coach Blade at Oak Ridge to see 'if' the rumors are true his wife wants to come back to the Nashville area.

Someone should just call Ravenwood's AD for him and send a resume overt here. Then we get someone that actually wants to be in Oak Ridge. FranklyMyDear
Whoever gets this job needs to clean house. There staff is absolutely terrible except for a few (Kirby, etc) but some of the others are terrible. They got rid of one last year by not rehiring him but several more need to go. There is a lot of two-faced people on that staff starting with the AD. Could Shuman have done a better job especially with discipline?YES but a Head Coach has to have assistants he can trust and unfortunately at Ravenwood he didn't have the assistant, or Admin that he could trust. Good luck to the next head coach be careful of the lions den. My Yellowjackets would have spanked Ravenwood this year and that says a lot. scotsqb7
what are the chances that Tommy Rewis gets the job over there?
ORWildcat1
I hope coach Blade stays at Oak Ridge, I don't think they are going to move back to middle Tennessee. What ever happened to the Ravenwood coach they had in 2005 when they won the state? Edited November 5, 2010 by ORWildcat1
ORidgeKat
LOD, nobody wants Blade to leave. And nobody misses the lack of discipline from previous staff. We hope he stays if he wants to be at Oak Ridge, If he doesn't want to be at OR, then don't let the door hit....... you know the rest. We will have a long line of good coaches come calling and we'll go through the hunt all over again.
