From what I have read so far about Sequatchie, is that they fight till the end. Congrats to Goodpasture and Sequatchie for making it to 2nd round. Last Friday was a VERY conservative game and am looking forward to watching these teams play each other. I hope we throw the ball more this week! Like I said last week, my son is a Senior and "We" are not ready for it to be over.

GO COUGARS!

GPCougarFan, Seq does have a lot of heart and will fight to the end, as I'm sure GP has as well. There is a lot of Senior Parents that aren't ready for it to be over, myself included.

What's your opinion as to the conservative game plan last week?

No I think it is crazy you think SM is better than GP. GP will be the best team Sequatchie Co. has played all season.

i have seen both teams up close Gerry and Bratt isnt crazy. You might want to see Signal play before making that comment. Goodpasture is a good team but ALOT of people are underestimating Signal. They are for real

Goodpasture has two excellent receivers and a all state quarterback. But they did not throw the ball that much at all. They stayed basic with there formations, and basically ran the ball right at CPA. I think that is what GPCougarfan was trying to say. There has been several games this year when they opened it up, and when that happened, the offense looked great. Now I agree with Coach Martin to just get physical against CPA. Goodpasture had a big size advantage, and they took advantage of it. That was the smart play, and it worked! I have also read on this thread that Goodpasture is the second best team Sequatchie will play this year. Well, I dont know anything about Sequatchie so I am not going to make any judements about them, but I know that Goodpasture is consitantly one of the best teams in the state every year. And every year, they play 5A and 6A teams in the regular season to get ready for the playoffs. So, if it makes you feel better to say Goodpasture is the second best team you will play all year, then good for you. I will just wait and see what happens and wish everyone good health and have a safe trip to Cougarland!

I don't want to turn this thread into SM vs Gp. I'm sorry I offended you, even though GP is not your team. But I will say this (and I hope Eaglepride55 doesn't see this) SM is a big, fast, physical, and explosive team and I think their Qb is probably the best in the state. His # might not be leading the state, but he has probably only played 2 quarters in 8 of their 10 games due to blowouts. This is the last I will say about this, you have your opinion and I have mine lets leave it at that.

GP fans I'm not demeaning your program in the least, I know you have a top notch program and I know we are the underdogs. We are looking forward to this game and best of luck to both teams.

Coach B, you have a tall task this week getting our boys ready after such a emotional win against our biggest rivalry. I have faith you and your Coaching staff will get the job done, we are all behind you. You have nothing to lose Indians prepare hard this week and above all stay focused on the task at hand and forget about that emotional win Friday.

I agree bratt sequatchie co. respects goodpasture 100% we have met often in the playoffs in different sports. I believe last time we went to nashville goodpasture had a WR name patrick turner and he put on a show. We no wat to exspect. And also our boys must and i cant put enough into this must put bledsoe behind them. Our district has had trouble following up a great win this year. Bledsoe losing to Harriman after beating us and Grundy losing at Grace after beating Bledsoe. I believe we can win this game but we cannot wait until the 4th quarter to show up
