prediction - last week I said OAKLAND in a close game but wished for a REBEL win...

This week i see many BLAZE fans ( maybe not the players or coaches )looking past this FHS team - BEWARE you may get surprised....

The BLAZE back is a Barry Sanders, and as he goes so does the BLAZE - So the big question is can the Rebs defense bend and dont break?

Blaze faithful you will be surprised at how well the FHS defense is agaisnt the rush ( yes they have not faced a stud like your back ) but they are a tought bunch of kids.

REBEL QB, can throw the ball around as the 390 yds he put up vs. BRENTWOOD- but he does throw ALOT of picks!

DYE, is back , getting his game legs and will help open up the passing game

BLAZE defense/secondary has allowed 6 plus games allowing 200 yds passing , but that can be inflated due to them jumping out to big leads early on . . . .

REBS will match em blow for blow but in the end too much Barry Sanders

BLAZE bye 13

again i hope i am wrong - GO REBS !!!!!

(and for the record i am an INDY supporter , so it hurts to say that )

Blaze are over looking us Big Time! I am tired of all the jokes from the Blackman Fans. Schedule is out the window. Rebels 1-0 Blackman 1-0 Someone goes to 1-1 Who will it be.

Dye is back and Matt just keeps on getting better all the time. Love to watch him throw the football. D will be ready to stop the Blackman run game. I am having a hard time typing since I am sooooooooooooo ready for some football! Go REBELS!

Just to let the Blackman faithful know, fbforme is an overzealous (and delusional) Rebel fan. Every week he gets on here and blows smoke at our opponents and makes rediculous predictions that everyone has since learned to ignore. On Franklin's behalf, I apologize for anything that he posts on here.

FBFORME, no one, I repeat, no one looks forward to your predictions and we know that isn't cherry in your Dr. Pepper. No surprises there.

Now, as far as facilities and fan base, Blackman blows Franklin out of the water by far. Murfreesboro as a whole outmatches Wilco as far as athletic support. Kind of crazy with the amount of income around here, but who knows.

As for the Oakland game, I'm pretty sure they were only down Tee Mayberry. Buddy Anderson played (and very well) and the Franklin defense shut him down as well as knocking their 2nd tailback out with a concussion. So if that counts for missing the game, guess you're right.

Everyone knows how good of a football player I'Tavious Mathers is. To say that Blackman puts all of their eggs in his basket is extremely foolish. They have 3 very good receivers that can pull down the ball at any time..... when the QB can get it to them. Just to say to the Blackman faithful, keep underestimating the Rebel Defense, that has held their opponents to an average of 10 points per game (weak schedule, I know, but I guarantee you that Hopkinsville, Fern Creek, Ooltewah, and Hillsboro had 3 if not 4 Mathers type athletes on their teams) so show a little bit of respect, or if not, just earn it tomorrow as you watch the game unfold.

On the other side of the ball, PBD, your son is one heck of a football player. He and #11 (Thompson I believe) are two of the best linebackers I have seen in HS football for however long I've been around it. However, Brentwood and Oakland had one of the best overall defenses Franklin has seen, and I think in those two games the Franklin OL gave up 2 sacks (mainly against Oakland) So, it's no secret that Franklin will probably pass, and it's no secret that Blackman is going to bring the heat. Again, just keep underestimating Franklin in that aspect, please. Sean Dye actually missing the first 7 game of the season and has about 200 rushing yards off about 20 carries since he's been back. Very versital back that also missed 2nd half of the season last year.

With all of that being said, and up until 10:45 last week I would have never thought this, but I am sticking with the Rebels in this one, but not by any margin predicted on here but rather sticking with the Patton margin on the Tennessean, just in reverse

Franklin 28 - Blackman 24

BTW, love the smack talk. Best fans around in the boro

Blackman is currently looking past 11 teams they include Tullahoma, Lincoln County, Smyrna, Cane Ridge, Lavergne, Station Camp, Seigal, Oakland, Brentwood, Riverdale and Overton. Currently we are looking forward to Franklin and Franklin only.

Hope that helps! :popcorneater:

all jokes aside...NO one is overlooking franklin...whether it be a fan...or player...but the only one who matters is the players...and i can tell you 100% that they are not overlooking yall...one thing you might want to change is your perspective about posters on coachT...all of us non players can get on hear and talk a little smack and you think franklin is being overlooked...???? nah...that ain't happening!

But i will tell you this...you just may beat us on friday...but your team has not come close to seeing what they are going to see this friday night from a team...you have played NO one that has the speed, intensity, and talent and it may just feel overwhelming at times...brentwood did not have it...oakland when yall played them did not have it (they were physically and emotionally done when yall came to town...not the same team that we played in week 8 who were confident...healthy...and ranked # 1 in the state with expectations that no one could get close to them let alone beat them) the physicality of this team's offensive line and defense is at a level that i have rarely seen in high school football...and it's gotten higher and higher over the last 4 weeks...you will have to see it to believe it...but don't say i was not as honest as i could be...from the start of the whistle...this team in big games has been like a bunch of wild dogs and most teams can't equal that intensity...we have alot of respect for franklin...the players...coaches and the program...but we don't think you should be able to beat us! Can you beat us? absolutely...will you beat us? i really don't think so and i'm not sure you really know what is about to come at you on friday night! good luck and may it be an injury free game!

I agree with PBD 100% in my eyes the only way to beat the Blaze is to have the fire department on stand by like we did at Smyrna. The second they scored we put the hoses out on them and it was over :roflol: But since your playing at Blackmans field guess that doesnt work for you. all well

a really good post overall...i'll come back to it later and respond...got to run now...but one thing i will say is THE PATTON SPORTS GUY from the Tennessean ain't kin to me...i would not trust his predictions...he's the same guy that had oakland still in the top 10 after the first round of the playoff and maplewood ahead of blackman in midstate poll... :roflol:
