Greeneville @ Maplewood Semifinals

The only district that is tough in Knoxville is district 4AAA and Knoxville doesn't even have the best team in it. To say that Greeneville wouldn't survive in a decent Knoxville district makes you look Asinine. Since Greeneville doesn't play anyone lets look at common opponents: West 19 Sullivan South 14, Greenville 35, Sullivan South 20 (Was 35 to 7 in the 4th when Greeneville pulled their starters), West 36 Fulton 20, Greeneville 35 Fulton 0, West 31 Tn High 7, Greeneville 56 Tn High 7. Does that mean West hasn't played anyone since Greeneville has more convincing wins over common opponents?

The only thing MapleTree has in their favor is home field. That and five or six touchdowns "might" get them within 6 of the Devils.

When you question a team playing a weak schedule (We know our conference stinks can't help that) when your own team has played 4 common opponents and Greeneville has handled them better than West did is not smart. I watched the West and Fulton game and you still had starters in during the 4th quarter so it sounds like you didn't finish instead of taking the gas off. Greeneville played Sullivan South the week after you, anymore excuses?

Wish they would get all these open zone teams like Greeneville and Alcoa in the right playoff's .. in with the private schools ... Im pulling for all the schools who have to only have players within the boundries of their school zones .. like WEST , Maplewood etc ..

Signal Mountain is bypassing 3A and going to 4A for a reason and it's not because they "fear" Greeneville obviously

 

Probably cause you're scared of Alcoa, Milan, CAK, Polk, Co. etc. Face it, the path to 4A is easier than 3A.

Looks like the Devils are the underdog team heading into this game... according to Nashville area papers.

Reminder to Greeneville fans that the team is leaving at noon, from the high school, headed to Maplewood. Be sure to line the escort rout through downtown and support your team. I am not sure when the fan buses are heading out. Does anyone know? GO GREENE! FINISH!

Common scores are for losers because it doesn't work like that. And no, West didn't have starters in during the 4th. Sure they had a few here and there, but the majority was back ups. West also knealed at the 1 yard line at the end of the game against Fulton. SS is a moot point; West always starts slow. You Greeneville fans are comical. GO MAPLEWOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say good luck to the Greene Devils from Etown. I don't know anything about Maplewood, but obviously they have a quality team to be in the semis. On the other hand, I have seen Greeneville play and you are loaded. The Greene Devils have size, speed and skill. The Cyclones definitely have their hands full traveling to Alcoa. Good luck to both!

The real question is why do you come on the Greeneville vs. Maplewood thread out of nowhere and start talking trash about Greeneville, then start saying they would have 4 or 5 losses in West's district, then start making excuses for why you guys didn't beat teams as badly as Greeneville did.

 

The team I'm a fan of is IN West's district...I've seen every single team in 4-AAA play this year and I've seen Greeneville as well. Let me tell you...Greeneville would WIN 4-AAA. You can come on here and post your excuses and "GO MAPLEWOOD" all you want...that's the comical thing
