I start by saying I'm looking forward to hearing who we'll play for the next two seasons. I heard that the Gordonsville game fell through because thay had a District game that took priority. Hope that's not the case, but if so I hope we get another tough team.

From what I have seen, J.B. will likely be the biggest threat out there from a Pirate perspective. We are going to keep that Exorcist on retainer just in case.

I standby my stance that JB will never win a State Championship until they start scheduling some tougher regular season games. SP played teams like signal mountain and Polk to get them ready for the playoffs. Im at FC now and we play a MONSTER schedule, but its what led them to three state championships in a row. JB will have alot of talent returning, but i hope they challenge themselves this year in the regular season. Going 8-2 and winning state is better then 10-0 and losing in playoffs in my mind.

I think the Devils are well-coached & hard working. You were undefeated. No one can take that away from you. I hope Bolt is ok - my prayers are with him & his family.

Gordonsville would be a great measuring stick - they gave the Pirates a great game.

 

Good luck getting another tough contender to replace Gordonsville if that game falls through!

JB is a great team and will be extremely tough since they are returning the Tank. I expect to meet them in the Quarters or the Semis again. Maybe we will have a remedy for them next season. Good Luck until we meet again.

I was reading in my book this morning about who these Joe Byrns boys will be back next year. I garuntee you that Frankie boy is real good and he will be a senior next year. He is 5'8 170lbs. He is a real fast and strong boy. He will be Joe Byrns best runner next year. That Adkins boy is back as Joe Byrns passer. I went through my Murphy Fair book this morning and marked out all the senior boys on the 1A teams so I will know who is coming back until the 2011 Murphy Fair book comes out.
