Not so fast my friends. Sycamore will run away with this district, but White House is a team I see in a battel for 2nd with Greenbrier. We'll see friday night when Greenbrier and White House play (if it's not canceled). Also don't count out Macon Co.

Forgot the score but White House won easily. Greenbrier could slip up on somebody if everything went right for them. Didn't help that they didn't have their coach. Next Friday night will be a very big night in 9AA. Clash of styles for sure. Hope it is a big crowd. Let's go Devils, BDP!

If anyone finds out what the shooting % was for the Blue Devils let me know because it seemed like they couldn't miss. I can't wait to see what happens next friday night!

57% for the Blue Devils. and GB shot 43%. WH had 13 treys and GB had 9. Most of the game was obviously spent from behind the 3 pt line... WH is good, but they aren't near good enough to win region like Pitchfork said earlier this year

Survivor may be right. last night the Devils went down in defeat to a visiting Macon County squad. Our guys just seem reluctant to rebound and play tough inside. Rely on way too many threes. Don't know why, but if the Devils want to play for a championship of any kind, they better get tougher and play with a little sense of urgency and desire. A couple of key guys are too laid back and don't seem to play hard.

I know right! This team beat a Greenbrier team that could have been 3rd in the district last night and the night before only lost by 15 to sycamore...but I still think this team will be no better than 5th in the district.

MID season predictions:

1. Sycamore- Obvious #1

2. Macon Co- Could give Sycamore a run for their money

3. White House- live and die by the 3's

4. Westmoreland- suprising alot of people... playing good ball

5. Greenbrier- Team not playing up to their potential

6. Goodpasture- Young team w/ some key injuries

Nobody has mentioned Macon County while talking about 9-AA. Yet they played for a district championship last year and showed they have the desire to get there again after beating White House last night. Greenbrier will not play for a district championship, as it seems there talent level has dropped off considerably after losing all 5 starters. Their single A schedule didn’t help prepare them either. Sycamore, White House, and Macon have most of their squad back and will all go to the region. It is that 4th slot that is up for grabs and unfortunately the 4th seed will have to play East Lit, Maplewood or CPA.

Sycamore is head and shoulders above any team in this district and is the only team who may have a chance to win a region game or two.

Agree w/ this post Hokie. Goodpasture is just getting some bad breaks w/ injuries. Greenbrier is having a disappointing year but they should be winning games they are losing. Everybody is talking about Sycamore-White House, but I'm ready for Sycamore-Macon. Go Tigers!!! Keep it up boys!!

    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
