For wednesday: Friendship eliminates Unaka and south pitt eliminates Grace. Summertown beats TCA and Eagleville beats Riverside. TCA eliminates Friendship and Riverside South Pitt. That leaves us with riverside to beat eagleville twice on thursday and tca having to beat summertwon twice. Just my thoughts.

At this point I believe we will have a rematch of the state championship 2 years ago between Summertown and Riverside. Anything can happen tomorrow though.

Not so sure about that last comment there. Riverside definitely has the tougher schedule (Wins over Houston, Bartlett, Lexington, etc.). South Pitt has played a bunch of average to below-average teams and the teams they played from bigger schools were having terrible years it looks like. I hope you don't truly believe that your schedule was harder than Eagleville's or Riverside's. Step up and play somebody. You guys have a very good team and I love the lefty I saw yesterday, but you don't get credit or respect from perennial powers until you do something against good teams consistently.

Once again good try. Riverside just defeated South Pitt 23-4

Plus the only single A teams they have played are in their district and in post season tournaments. Wins over Memphis Houston, Bartlett, Northside, Lexington, Henry Co. speak for theirself. Riversides record is now 36-2.

Also, Riverside was not in the losers bracket, they've won 15-2 over Grace, 8-2 over Eagleville, and now 23-4 over SP.

Congrats to the Pirates. Unfortunately this town will never show you the credit you deserve because this is a football town. Making it as far as you did was the biggest accomplishment for any South Pittsburg team including football in awhile. With that being said it is amazing that a team can only have 3 losses and get beat 23-4. The talent level for that team compared to ours had to be absurd. Good job Pirates.

Yeah all of the transfers at Grace prolly get free rides to go there, thanks to coach hochavar. Tssaa needs to start looking back into them everyone knows what they found the first time. I dont think they have changed much.

Congratulations to the Summertown Eagles on a great season, and to the seniors on a great high school baseball career! Sucks that it had to end this way, today, guys, but you've had an awesome season! Don't let today define your memories of your high school baseball careers; you're all great guys and will go on to do many great things......

Eagleville lit up our Pirates in the first game also. Was hoping to see these guys add another gold baseball to that trophy case with those 9 gold and silver footballs and assorted other trophies.
