I found this article on CoachT's home page, and it seems they just went by overall record. They did! I don't disagree with the teams, just the order.

You don't agree with math?!?!? Just Kiddin'!

I'd say Jo Byrns would be glad to trade places with SP,winning alot of games don't equal State Championskips. If you look in you're book Roy, you should be satisfied.

Indeed, sir!

To paraphrase your signature(still my favorite)...

Don't worry 'bout the wins, just check the trophy cabinet.

That was pretty good Shep. And regaarless of how they came up with the top 10, you guys would still be high on the list. Very few schools go out every Friday night expecting a win. As long as you guys keep the coach ,I doubt things will change much.HATS OFF

Just curious as to why Trousdale County was not mentioned...They were 1A in 00, 05,06,07 and 08. Making the playoffs all five years and two undefeated state championships! With a record of 52-13.

Either they'll be on the 2a list because they are a 2a school right now, or they went by overall wins in 1a and Trousdale County didn't have enough to make the list.

Gordonsville at 7 is fairley impressive given the region their in. They've had no undefeated regular seasons because they play Smith County every year and Friendship. For most of the decade they've had Trousdale County to contend with as well and if they do happen to do well in the playoffs they have to meet up with South Pitt. There isn't a team on the list that has had to play the schedule Gordonsville has.

The article was titled "The Best 1A Programs from the Past Decade."

Like I said, I don't disagree with the teams, just the order, and if you want to rank the best, you use more criteria than overall record.

However, it was a good article to read, and it's something to talk about.

I looked at this bunch of mess. If Grider had won another game last year, we would be number 1. That is just one example that we underachieved last year, because we lost 2 games. We only played two good teams and we lost both of them. If we had won both of them, we would be the best team of the decade, but now those Joe Byrns boys are. You think im joking but im not.

You failed to mention South Pitt was mercy ruled in one those losses.

It wasn't by a 1a team either. In fact, if you check the records, you will find that only a few of the losses the past 10 years or for that matter the past 20 years have been by 1a schools. I go even further and say that in class A school (1a and 2a) last year stood a very very good chance at getting monkey stomped and mercy ruled by half time.

Hey Jo Byrns didn't get mercy ruled until the fourth quarter...and here I was thinking we didn't do good!

It was late in the third at Polk. Polk was one of 2 teams in 3a that could stay on the filed with Alcoa last year, the other was C.A.K. In the playoffs, Polk beat Tyner in a close one and last to C.A.K. in a close one. C.A.K. keep it close with Alcoa twice. Before the away/home series with Polk, S.P. had one with Tyner. S.P. went 2-0 with Tyner and 0-2 with Polk Co. and just renewed a home/away with Polk Co. Polk Co is the only team that S.P. has played more than 5 times and has a losing record with.

    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
