could happen, but could also lose to Baylor, Soddy, Ootlewah and Cleveland.

At Blackman is going to make this a very tough goal to achieve, they have possibly the best player in the state in TB I'tavious Mathers and return alot of pieces on offense. Gotta be tough playing four road games in a row too, no matter the skill level of the opponent.

Possible, but I think unlikly. Too many good programs involved. I think this is a very good schedule with a mix of good teams to complement the district schedule.

They have enough talent to possibly go 10-0. One of the better receivers in 6A, Capable QB, Stable of Rb's with speed. Biggest question will be defense.

Alot of talk of how good Bradley is going to be but they probably lost more than most 6A teams in the area. You have a really tough schedule and thats without anyone talking about Soddy Daisy, who probably lost less than any other team. Just Saying.

Don't see how they will go to Blackman and win.

Baylor, Soddy, and Cleveland could lose.

East Hamilton and Ooltewah are not easy games.

I don't see 10 and 0 if they go 8 and 2 they would have to be considered the best team in the area.

It's been a short summer and everyone is ready for some football. There are several teams in District 5-AAA that are capable of winning the district title. Bradley Central, Cleveland and Soddy-Daisy are certainly the frontrunners based on returning players. Every team better take care of business without looking forward to future games or those games won't matter when someone unexpectedly steps up and slaps them with a loss. Having said that, here are some games that everyone is looking forward to in this upcoming season:

Big District 5-AAA games--

09/02--Soddy-Daisy at Bradley Central in the district opener for both teams. This game will have a huge bearing on the final standings for the 6A members of the district.

10/14--Soddy-Daisy at Cleveland--If Soddy-Daisy wins their game at BCHS, then this game will probably be for the district title.

10/21--Bradley Central at Cleveland (ESPNU)--Big game every year, maybe for the district title this year if both teams have taken care of business to this point. If BCHS and CHS have both escaped with wins over SDHD then this game should decide the district title. This game was orignally scheduled for Thursday but moved back to Friday for the ESPNU broadcast.

Non-district games of high interest--

08/19--Polk County at Bradley Central--Always a slobber-knocker. Look for the Wildcats to be much better than many fans are expecting. They lost a lot of talent but have some pretty dang good guys to fill in for them.

08/20 (Sat.)--Cleveland vs Alcoa at Maryville (5:00 p.m.) The first game of a double-header at MHS followed by Maryville vs. Knox Webb. These same teams will play next year at Aloca but swap opponents.

09/23-- Bradley Central at Blackman--Blackman is ranked in everyone's Top 10 and #1 by Murphy Fair. This will be a game of statewide focus.

08/26--McMinn County at McCallie--Is this another rebuilding year for the Cherokees?

09/09--Farragut at McMinn County--A game among former district foes.

08/19--Powell at Rhea County--This is a loaded Powell team ranked in the top 5 of every poll in pre-season and coming off an 11-2 campaign in 2010.

09/09 Rhea County at Bearden--It's never easy at Bearden.

09/23 Rhea County at Fulton--Whe made out this Rhea schedule? It probably wasn't newly hired Head Coach Doug Greene!!

08/19--Soddy-Daisy at Baylor--Last year's DII-AA state runner-up will be a real tester in the Trojan's season opener.

It's a typical season in southest Tennessee. Lot's of anticipation and high hopes.

Best of luck to all our local teams and let's stay away from the injury bug!
