You remember the 3 year span 05-07 when dekalb was beyond awful and only won 3 games, 2 of the 3 which was macon

We beat you in 05 and 06, I think you mean 07-09,you actually had a decent team in 08 and 09. Last time though because this isn't a Macon vs Smith or Dekalb thread. Do you remember the 5 year span from 01-06?

Good luck to both teams tonight. Smith, we'll see ya next week.

50-30 SC. SC had a 200 yard rusher (Manning) and 2 more over 100 (Scurlock and Stevenson). Muffed punt and terrible snap gave a dangerous offense extra possessions which resulted in DC scores. Good homecoming win. Much improved DeKalb County team that can give defense problems.

I just want to say the Smith Co. players and fans both had great sportsmanship and provided a great atmosphere. The facilities were great and much respect to Smith Co. yall are a good team. DC hung in there but just fell apart at the end. The O line just broke down at the end of the 4th. The score doesn't quite justify just how close the game was. Til the very end it was a nail biter. DC had a wide open guy in the endzone that actually had time to wave for the pass and Phillips hit him in the chest he just couldn't catch it. That could've gave us a chance for a field goal and OT or something atleast, but then the 82 yard run made it look not as close. Still great game Tigers. You played much better than everyone expected against a very good team and can still finish the season strong. Play like you did in the first half and you could very well finish 9-1. Either way I see yall going to the playoffs I hope yall do great.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
